I would try the teething tablets. They worked great for my daughter. You just put them in their mouth and it dissolves almost instantly. I think the brand that I used to use was called something like Hylands or something like that.

Hyland makes homeopathic teething tablets for babies. We used them and they 'work' as far as we can tell. It's usually located next to the baby orajel and such things at stores like Walmart, Target, and Meijer.
I never had luck with the Orajel. Baby would always flinch and get most of it on his tongue, then he'd cry 'cause his tongue was numb. Arrgghhh..
Good luck!

all my children and nephews hated that stuff, teething rings, wet washcloth, 3 months is very young, they have those teething biscuts near babyfood in store but at 3 months i don't know , are you sure he is teething, my daughter is 8 months and just broke her first tooth, anyway, never met a mom who had a child who liked that orajel,

Three months old - wow! That's early. My son is teething, too and the doctor said that when we see that he is really bothered by it, we can give him a dose of the Baby Tylenol.
But if you're not sure, just call your pediatrician's office.

my6 daughter didnt like the orajel either so my husband and i tried it to see what was so bad and it actually runs back into your throat (no matter how little you put on) and its a real annoying feeling. she does much better with a teething ring that doesnt touch her cheeks, teething tablets, and infant ibuprofen

I will usually offer a teething ring or a small ice cube wrapped around a paper towel so it's not too cold.

Buy him a chew toy that is filled with water and then freeze it. The coldness will feel good to his little gums. Bless your heart. I know he is not a happy camper.

mine was the same....I found that freezing a face towel worked great. Wet it down, ring it out into a line, and freeze. Good Luck
