start expressing and bottle feed him - that way he still gets your milk and you dont have to deal with the pain.

Well your not alone there I have two kids and breastfed my oldest until she was 3 I was bit numerous times in the beginning but you can stop it first of all you should join the le leache league, they will help you with everything. A good way to stop a baby from biting though is to just give them a little startle. When your baby bites just say in a deep and quick tone ouch a little louder then you normally would to stop the baby, if that doesn't work then when the baby gives you a bite flick the baby on the cheek not hard but just enough to say hey don't do that it hurts. I hope that helps... and please check out your local breast nursing communities you will have many other women to gain help and wisdom from... best of luck with the baby. Oh and to avoid mastitis when you don't feed the baby don't forget some hot cloths and to express when you get full you can place the stored milk in the freezer it lasts for a lil while in there.

You might want to start pumping and giving him breast milk in a bottle. That way the child still gets the benifits of having the breast milk and you have the comfort of not having a child bite you in a sensitive area. Save yourself from the pain. it might be time for the baby to start teething.

when the baby bites, stop nursing and give the baby to someone. then try again later the baby will know that if he bites the milk goes away and do not scream or react suddenly since he will bite again to see your reaction. just stop the baby calmly.

A baby without teeth can't bite. However if u feel he's biting you, put a finger gently in his mouth to stop him from sucking, give him a warning look, after some time he'l understand the message and not 'bite' u again

My daughter started biting me not too long ago. I think she was pourd of her new skill. I immediately took my nipple out of her mouth and calmly but firmly said "no." She eventually understood. Whatever you do, don't give up and think you can't breastfeed anymore. Hang in there : )

stop the feeding whenever he starts to bite...so he will know that if he bites he don't get to eat, it will slowly register to him. Don't be scared when you nurse him, let him latch on nicely.
