My doctor would like for me to quit nursing my baby as she feels that is what is causing his extreme gasiness and intestinal discomfort, along with trouble sleeping and fussiness. I had never heard of being intolerant of the lactose in mothers milk. I was thinking maybe I could formula feed him for part of the time as he seems to feel better before noon, I think because he goes for longer periods of not nursing then.

My baby is going on 8 weeks old and I was wondering if the menthol/camphor vapors will bother his little resiratory system...my mom had me massage her arm with Icy hot and she was in my room when I did it..she wanted more and I think it was a little too much for even an adult(it was burning my eyes a little) I wore hair dyeing gloves but she insisted on putting the baby to sleep for me and he is laying on the arm that is covered with a towel but the vapors can still go through...HELP...she said it wont hurt him but not everything back in the old school is right these days

My baby is 9 months old and eating pretty much all mushy baby foods. However, she gags whenever I try to give her things more like table foods, such as mushed bananas or peaches, or avocado, or cheerios... that's as far as I've gotten because she gags and spits up every bite of anything thicker than baby food. She is just now coming around to eating those little baby food puffs but won't touch the wagon wheels.

Any advice on getting her used to table food? Her doctor wants me to start weaning her but I don't think she's ready.

I have a 3 month old son. He screams all day long, he is not hungry or wet. If you rock him to sleep and put him in his crib he'll sleep for 15 minutes and then wake up screaming. He sleeps all night in his carseat and just wakes up to be fed or changed. Please help I have tried everything. I think it may be a bad habit of trying to get me to hold him all the time. But isn't he to young still for that?

I kind of tricked him into the first one. Kind of. We have a 1 yr old, and are both 21. We have been married almost two years. We are doing well financially, and even have a three bedroom home, enough room for more! I wanted to have all my kids before 25 so I can get my degree before 30. We have talked about planning it and he has agreed and then every time that time of the month comes to try he makes an excuse or starts a fight. I don't know what to do, I really want more children and for my kids to be around the same age. I do not want to get one out of diapers and into school just to start with a newborn again. But I don't want to force my husband to do something he doesn't want to do? It's putting a terrible strain on the relationship. Has anyone else been in this situation?

My son will be starting at a day care center 3 days a week soon. He'll be 7 months old.

I'd love to hear from moms and dads who have used day care.

Thanks

My twin baby girls are turning 1 year old! My wife and I are hosting a HUGE first birthday party for them, where we expect anywhere from 40-50 people. We will have over 100 pink balloons, pink cupcakes, a castle shaped jumper, and tons of goodies for our guests. But what is a good gift that a daddy can buy his girls on their first birthday? Ideas I had included an angraved Tiffany teething rattles, but that will take 3 weeks and I only have about 1 week til their party. I also thought about opening a college savings account with $500 in each account to start with, but that doesn't seem like very much fun. Any ideas? Suggestions? Clues? Please help!

My 5-week old son takes approximately 4 oz of formula every 3 hours. Sometimes it's a bit less, and sometimes he still acts like he's hungry after he takes the 4 oz. If we give him any more than 4 oz when he continues to cry and root like he's still hungry, he continues to eat but then usually ends up throwing that last ounce or so back up within 15 minutes after we've finished feeding and burping him. It seems like sometimes the formula isn't sustaining him.

Will he ever take more than 4 oz of formula at a feeding, or should I be giving him something like baby cereal in addition to his formula, or mixed in with it? According to the doctor's office his weight is right on target, so it's not like he's starving. And I'd hate to give him something that will upset a sensitive baby stomach.

What do you think? Is he too young for a little cereal, or should we continue to give him more formula?

I am having twin girls, I have three boys so there is only so much I can re-use. I got a little advice to use E-Bay, so I went on and registered and found all kinds of things...the problem is it seemed to good to be true. I found Avent bottles, brand new for half the price of what they are in the store. I found big lots of baby clothes of 60-70 pieces for $10.00. I found the swing I wanted for about 1/3 of the price. I have never used E-Bay before and am very wary, we don't have a lot of money, so if I spend it and it isn't what I want or need, I am out of luck. Has anyone else used E-Bay to buy baby items, if so how did it turn out, are there hints to getting good items and not getting scammed? Thanks for all your help.
