I buy tons of baby/kid items on EBay. It's the best way to go.
Always check their rating. When you are looking to buy a product from a user, you have the option of checking their rating. The higher the number, the better. It will also tell you how long they've been a member. You can read their customer's comments - good and bad. Do NOT do any business with someone who does not have a great rating.
It seems too good to be true, but it's not. A lot of items are used, so they can sell them for "yard sale" prices.
Also, for example, my step-mom sells on Ebay = she searches all stores for great deals. She finds items 75 - 80% off in the store and buys them in bulk. Then, she turns and sells them on EBay. She also buys summer clothes in winter, and winter clothes in summer. She saves them for a year, then sells them.
It's just someone else out searching stores for great deals so you don't have to, or someone who has extra this, extra that (maybe from their baby shower), and they sell it on ebay.
Just beware shipping rates. Always check shipping rates - sometimes it can be more than the price of the product.
And look for good ratings.
When you sign up for paypal, ebay will tell you all this.

I have used ebay for a few baby items. I have never gotten scammed. There are a few things you can do to protect yourself. Buy from a person that has a positive reputation. Pay with Paypal, if some reason you don't get your item or it was listed as new but isn't you can get your money back. Remember things always look very cheap when they have a few days to go. Most auctions are bid up within the last 30 minutes of bidding. Also try to look for bids that end on a weekday as these are typically cheaper. Use the auction tools, put in your max bid to begin with and let ebay do the rest. If you are on a budget, figure out how much, including shipping, you are willing to bid on an item and stick to it. When something is really cheap check the shipping cost. I have messed up and bid on something cheap thinking I was getting a good deal and got screwed on the shipping. Well Good Luck. HTH

Look at the ratings of the seller of each item you are interested in. (Feedback) The number of positive ratings tells you how many other customers have been satisfied with that particular seller. Be sure to check for any negative feedback as well. Make sure the items you are interested in are protected by e-Bay itself, so that if you buy something and aren't satisfied with the transaction, you can get a refund. Read the information on the product carefully, and if you have any questions, e-mail the seller and ask before bidding. Be sure you understand how you will have to pay for the item, and what the shipping costs will be. It's a very reputable site, and if you use some caution you should be able to buy what you need without worry.
(The prices are often very low, because many of the sellers aren't "in business"; they have something they no longer need, and want to make a few dollars from it.)

Now you what to watch out for bid that tell you the higher the bid the more clothes you get I never do thous you just don't know what you get. It better to see a pic of the items you are getting I have never had a bad experience from e-bay. If the Item is used you should make sure their are know recalls.

. Boo, I feel for you, but you CAN'T do that! Look at the ebay site below and you'll see what kind of BIG competition that's already there. You didn't just invent this idea. For example they sell a baby jacket for $5 [which they must have paid 8-10 bucks for] but make it up on the shipping charge of $12. And how much effort does it take to wrap this stuff up and mail it? It's gotta be Rough! I've sold stuff on ebay, mostly stupid gifts like a $20 book or a $40 lamp that I didn't want, and got about half of that purchase price back. But I'd rather have the $20 than a dum lamp I didn't want. But to make a living at it, NO way. I'd rather set up a day-care house for 1-2 kids.

ebay is great, but make sure you read every detail before you buy. A lot of retailers sell on ebay because their stores dont do well to the local public. and make sure the shipping costs are worth you buying online rather than in the store. Also check out the seller to make sure they have a lot of good feedback.
