I gave her anbesol and it stopped her for a while...also pumped her legs in and out and she fell asleep......we'll see for how long. I did have her outside in her playpen for a while but she was screaming out there too and she usually loves being outside............. If anbesol doesnt work, what else can be done? I cant take much more

Ok, relax and take care of yourself first!
If you're tense, baby will be too!
Have you
1) called the Dr and asked their opinion?
2) taken her for a drive?
3) given her a bath?
4) give her some "white noise"...like the vacuum?
5) sing to her
6) show her a big mirror. Babies get a kick out of mirrors.
if you need to, lay her in her crib and take a bath to get yourself relaxed or call a relative to come over & give you a break.
Feel free to e-mail me if you need to talk to someone.
Good Luck

Quick and simple: Lay the child on theoir back and gently push the legs back and forth all the way up to the chest. Gas can be very painful for little ones and is often the result of endless crying. Check the belly if it is hard this could be the case. To try to relieve it also if this does not help...run a warm bath and trickle water over the belly. My kids always got such relief out of this. Make sure that thier is not some sort of tag in the outfit maybe? If they are teething, this was great..take a nipple and fill with water. Set it in something to keep it up right and place it in the freezer. Put a towl under the chin and let them suck on it. It provides the relief they need and gives them the securtiy of sucking. Watch though to make sure it dosent get to could on the lips. It generally melts before then but just in case check. Hope this helps, these are just simple down home things that you can try. They helped me through many many hours of cyring!

1. Lie her on her back, gently exercise her legs. Do some bicycles with them, then gently extend her legs until they are straight, then push the, still very gently, until her knees are bent and moving towards her chest. Do both exercises several times, it can relieve gas and constipation.
2. Go for a drive.
3. Run the vacuum.
4. Place her in her carrier on top of a running drier, just make sure you stay right there so the carrier doesn't fall off.
5. Hold her belly down on your arm, with her belly pressing against your forearm and her face where your hand is, this hold brings comfort to some babies.
I hope one of these tips works for you, sometimes nothing will work and you'll just have to wait it out, she's probably colicky and some of the things I mentioned can bring relief. Also, experiment, sometimes the silliest idea will calm a crying baby. If you need a break it's okay to lie her in her crib, then leave the room for a few minutes to take some deep, calming breaths.

Colicky? Gassy? I've heard putting a peppermint in a VERY small bottle of water will eleviate that. (my girl never experienced either, but my friend swears by it) It won't hurt, as long as it's not a lot of water (maybe 2 oz?) but no more, and it just might help. It's worth a shot!
Is she eating solids? My daughter ate something that gave her heartburn and she SCREAMED. We gave her a mashed up half of a tums and it helped (but she was one at the time)
Could she be allergic to something?
Another trick for teething...very well toasted bread. It's scratchy in a soothing way on those gums. Helps cut the teeth. Or a washcloth with a wet corner. Put it in the freezer for a few minutes.
Try also rubbing her gums with your finger. She might fight it at first, but if she IS teething, she will probably like it after a minute.
My mom said I did this one time when she was visiting her family for Christmas. They fed me, burped me, changed me, checked for temp, stripped me to see if I had been bitten or otherwise injured. Finally just had to get me in the car and take me home. I was just really overwhelmed and had a sort of baby "panic attack" or something. Once I was away and in the quiet, I calmed down.

I feel your pain and we've been there!
Here are a few things to try - please wait 15-30 min in-between each option as to not overload baby girl:
Has she been burped well? My daughter was notorious for having burps 1/2 hour or more after eating that would upset her.
She could be extra sensitive to clothes. See if she has a tag or seam that could be bothering her.
Could she be hot or cold? My daughter (can you say high maintenance) is an ice cube and is always cold. It took me about a month her first winter to figure out she was too cold She need 2 sleepers and a winter snowsuit at night to be warm.
Is she over stimulated? Maybe she just wants some alone time. My youngest is like that. As an infant he would fuss and cry and carry on until we would put him down and then he quieted down.
This could be tied to the above, but could she be overtired and need to rest? Once a baby (or child) gets overtired it is that much harder for them to go to sleep (and they get REAL cranky)
Does she have a hair twisted around a finger to toe? This is very hard to see, but can be quite painful. Look closely to see if you can see an indent or spot that looks like it has a rubber band on it.
And last - has she started any food or new formula, or if nursing have you eaten anything new? This could upset her tummy.
Good luck!

I think that baby oral jel is wonderful. Mybe trying a car ride would help. My son hates the car seat, but always falls asleep instantly. Walk around outside for a bit... Maybe the fresh air will help. Set her down, take a breather. I've noticed that Hayden (my son) gets very stressed why I'm stressed out. I can tell your doing everything in your power to comfort your daughter. Sometimes thats all you can do. Its probably teething depending on your baby's age. I hope everything is okay, and if you can calm her enough try a little belly message (Which it could be gas) and maybe try a little baby tylonal (for teething or growing pains) Take care

Take her outside - into a different environment - go for a walk. The change in temperature and environment will often get their attention and they forget to cry. After she stops crying, continue walking for another 5 to 10 minutes before going back inside. When she falls asleep, she should sleep a long time after that long cry she's had.
One of my babies did the same sort of crying. In desparation she was given a pickle. The taste got her attention and she stopped right away. Ice cream or a popsicle usually work too.
I know you are worn out. When the crying gets on your nerves, go stand outside your front door for awhile to catch your breath and calm down.

If she is teething and anbesol doesnt work, give her a dose of infant's tylenol and buy some teething tablets, they are small white pills that you rub on their gums and they dissolve as your doing this, they provide tons of relief and your baby will enjoy the gum massage.

Oh my god I have been through that and it was so dang hard I tell you. When I had my daugher she would get real bad gas in her tummy and scream her head off for hours. Just hold her and bounce up and down and patt her back and pray it will come out or she will pass out. Stay cool and just try to relax. She freaks out when you are freaked out. Just breath in deep and breath out. Or put her in the swing and she will fall asleep. That works good too. Make sure her diaper is dry. You will survive this I promise.

I agree with everyone else. Sounds like she is teething. Time for the teething ring. Make sure its good and cold - straight from the freezer.
Rubbing ambesol on her gums would be of great help.
And try the biscuits too. She needs relief!
