or call a Lactation Consultant or La Leche League Leader to look up drugs for you in the book "Medications & Mother's Milk" in the future.

Basically ALL medications will tell you not to use it if PG or breastfeeding. (CYA on the part of the drug company.) The book "M&MM" is the best resource for this info.

No this will not hurt your baby but next time you take medicine you are unsure about you should first consult your doctor before taking it. But i took it when i was pregnant with my child and he is ok but as far as nursing your child he/she should be just fine. If you notice any sudden changes in your child after nursing contact his/her pediatrician immediately!

you are pregnant or nursing, ask a doctor before taking Pepto-Bismol. As with any drug, read the label thoroughly before use.

If you want to take something when you can't get ahold of your doctor's office, read the paper that's inside the box. If you tossed that, read the box, or go to the manufacturer's website. Try something like: PeptoBismol.com, or similar.
