It could be weeks or months. My daughter cruised for 3 months before she started walking. My friends daughter cruised for 2 weeks before walking. Either way, your child will be doing it soon.
By 12 months a baby should be calling parents "ma-ma" and "da-da" By 18 months a child should use at least 2 words consistently besides mama and dada, and by 21 months should have at least 20 words used consistently.

Yes.
However "Soon" is a relative term..Soon for your baby could be a couple weeks, could be a month or more!
It really depends on the child, how they've developed and what they are comfortable with!
My daughter just turned 8 months old, has been "cruising" around our furniture since she was 6 months old! Started pulling herself up on things around 5-6 months. She is just not comfortable enough to let go of things and stand on her own for a couple seconds before either falling on her bottom, or grabbing hold of the couch etc. She is a little daredevil though, fearless, climbing over everything, she's figured out how to scoot herself down the little slide we have for her, and all that good stuff!
So if your son is a little more on the cautious side, or just doesnt get the hang of it right away, it doesnt necessarily mean he is behind.
As far as talking, My daughter already says Mama,Dada, HI and "Bobble" (she says this when she wants her Bottle!).
So once agian, there are lots of different time tables we use as estimates of where babies should be, but those are taken on a study of a TON of babies. SO I'd say he's doing just fine!
My Stepdaughter is 2/12, and I've been in her life since she was a month old, and I can tell you the difference between her and her sister is AMAZING..She was about like your son, she is just fine and hitting milestones right on time, and then here is her sister, 8 months thinking she is about a year old!

it will probably take him about a month or a month and a half to start walking alone my son started cruising at about 9 months and he has been walking now for a lil over a month he will be 1 next month and as for the talking i think he sounds fine hes very smart to repeat the words as for my son the only words he says now is mama dada and bye and they sound about the same age

He probably will be walking on his own soon. As for the words. A toddler should be saying sentences with one word for each year. So a 1 year old, one word sentence a two year old 2 words, etc. Sounds like your son is right on track.

After my daughter started cruising, it was about 5 weeks before she was "walking" on her own. What you should do is set up some furniture so he has to reach to get to another place. Then, slowly start moving the pieces farther and farther apart. It won't be long!

not that many words maybe about 4-5 but not much more as long as he says momma and papa then it should be good about the walking everyone will give you different answers and it dont mean that he'll start when others do babies develop different so just be patient he'll start when he's ready. itll be real soon though
