Not sure I thought allergies came out around the 8th or 9th month. Babies sneeze to clear their noses because they obviuosly don't know how to blow their noses. Maybe you should make a Dr. appt. and have the baby checked out?
Also as someone with 2 cats and a dog so many kids can grow out of initial allergies to pets so I wouldn't think you'd have to get rid of the dog.

my 9 week old did a lot of sneezing and was stuffy also coughing when he came home and still does at times to this day. i was told by his doctor that he is clearing the mucus that he swallowed while in me.
but since your newborn has watery eyes it might be a allergy to something.
where i live there is a doctor on call at night time that might be a option for you but if not call her doctor in the morning and make a appt.

I don't know how old your Baby is ....but mine is now 8 weeks old and the first 4 weeks he was stuffed up and was sneezing like crazy .he also had a rash really bad so i did went to the Doctor as I do also have 2 dogs .... but they told me the sneezing is normal right after they born because they have to clear they nose and this is the only way to do it ..the rash was baby acne ....and also they told me he isn't stuffed up at all it just sounds like it but there is nothing ...they told me Baby's sound stuffed up the first few weeks .....
At the time i was mad and really didn't believe it because the Doctor said they sound like they stuffed up but they aren't ..and i was thinking "idiot " i hear it .i thought even sometimes he can not breath .....anyway it went away after about 4-5 weeks he still sneezes once in a while but that's it
So if your Baby is a newborn i wouldn't worry to much .....
but if you unsure go to the Doc tomorrow ...

The doctors have always told me that its normal for a baby to sneeze and cough for the first few weeks cause they are trying to get the left over stuff from us out of them.If she is reall allergic she will start coughing and sneezing when the dog enters the room or when she is around the dogs hair.Just to be safe I would call your doctor and speak to them and set up a apt. if they feel the baby needs one.Good luck!

It may not be the dog. It may be pollen, or something else. I would suggest not letting your dog in the nursery or your bedroom, depending on where she sleeps most. Also, vacum really well often to get the pet dander. I would wait a bit to see. Is her bedroom dusty? Maybe its dust. Wait it out. Then ask your doctor. Good luck and congrats on the new bundle of joy!

I don't believe newborns have enough of an immune system to mount a serious allergic reaction.
Watery eyes in newborns is common because their little tear ducts get blocked easily.

could be. I would ask your doctor to have him/her tested for allergies. My youngest had the small thing with the cat and she ended up with asthma which un treated can be life threating. Better to be safe then sorry. The best Of luck

Hee hee, some persons imagine that's disgusting for a dogs to EVER lick you, so for sure they received't like a dogs licking your toddler. yet i imagine that's in basic terms wonderful. dogs lick for a form of causes. They do it as an illustration of submissiveness and popularity - sturdy issues for a puppy/toddler courting imho. they prefer the salt from our epidermis. The licking procedure releases endorphins, so that's enjoyable and relaxing for them. i recognize persons argue who has the purifier mouth. It would not truly count number. component of installation up our immune platforms is publicity to germs and also the germs dogs have are very different from ours and frequently extremely incompatible. it truly is why we get ailments they could't and vice versa. Your toddler could have a comfortable immune device even as he/she comes domicile. in case you provide them some months, their immune device will be a lot more advantageous. We had our chihuahuas lick our sons' legs and ft even as they got here domicile. i did not could rigidity about any germs entering their mouth and our dogs felt like they were welcoming yet another into our family contributors. each so often they managed to get a lick in on their faces and not in any respect something undesirable got here about in any respect. even as our young ones were crawling round, they were given extremely licked via our dogs heh. They loved it and there have been no issues. i imagine you're wonderful. i imagine it truly is major for pets that are component of our family contributors to carry close they're nonetheless component of the family contributors even as our childrens connect the family contributors. and that i need to inform you, our sons LOVE animals partly because they're so bonded with our dogs. that's all sturdy. Congrats on your latest chum!
