My 3 month old son was on a very set schedule for about 1 month straight. He would go to bed around 10pm, wake up at 6am to eat and then go right back to sleep until 8:30 ish. He would then be down again at 11:30, up at 2, down at 5:30 up at 7:30, and then back down at 10 or so. Over the last four days, however, the afternoon nap has dissappeared, and in its place is the child from hell. He still shows all the sleepy signs; wont maintain eye contact, rubs his eyes, yawns, etc. He takes his morning nap like a champ. The first sign of being tired I put him in his crib awake, and he is out. In the afternoon, however, nothing (and I mean ABSOLUTELY nothing) will put this child to sleep. He screams constantly from about 7:30 until he finally wails himself to sleep around 9:30. I don't know what I am doing wrong here. Anybody have any suggestions or experienced similar situations?

I tell him they are dangerous and he doesn't believe me. Help me to get him to understand that a stationary walker is perfectly fine.

I have a healthy 6 m/o. He will be officially 6 months on Tues. I was just wondering if other mommies have or had there little ones on schedules. I just want to make the little guy happy. And i have read that babies love consistency. Our lives are anything but consistent. One day he will go 3 hrs in between his next feed. Then the next he will go only 2 in between. When we are at home he only wants to stay up for an 1 hr 1/2. But if we go out to church, target etc. He will stay up for 3 or so hrs at a time. How do i put him on a schedule if he doesnt stay up very long when we are home, but along time when we are out. So needless to say we are out and about alot. When or how should i put him on a schedule. Did you put your baby on a schedule. Is it weird that he only stays up 1 1/2 hrs. at home and way more when we are out. I dont know what to do. Im a desperate first time mom, just wanting to do the right thing. Any suggestions would be so wondeful. Thanks for your time.

His 2 front teeth on the bottom came in at about 7 months and that's it. I'm beginning to wonder if he only has 2 teeth!

I have read that it is normal for a baby to not poop for a few days at a time, but when should I start to worry? She burps a lot, and she farts, but that's it. today is day 4 with no bowel movement. She is breast fed with an occasional bottle.

Does anyone know if baby food jars will "pop" open if I pack them in my luggage and it is put in the plane cargo area? I don't want to take them in my carry on since airport security will probably not let me take so many and I have a pack of twelve leftover from my trip that I dont want to throw away.

I am almost 38 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. with my first child i was only 18 and i decided not to breastfeed. this time around i'd really like to try it. however, i have no clue what im doing! i remember how sore my boobs were after my daughter was born and i think i want to pump more rather than having her feeding off my breast. is this ok? will she take the bottle after my breast? how long can you store breast milk before it goes bad? can you add cereal to breastmilk? i hear you cant drink, smoke etc while brestfeeding too. i only plan on doing it for the first 8 weeks until i go back to work. how do i switch her from breast milk to formula....i feel so lost and overwhemed.....i feel like just giving up and going with formula. please help!! lol! thanks!

My sister had a breast reduction surgery years ago. SHe had one baby and tried to breastfeed but couldnt. She did pump and got just small amounts of milk. She is getting ready to have her 2nd child and wants to try again, or at least give the baby as much milk as she can get. Is there anything she can do to increase her milk besides lots of pumping? Would the herbs and teas and mothers milk work in this situation? any advice would be greatly appreciated. I breastfeed but am not sure what to tell her in this situation.

my daughter, emily is 8 months old now, and still to this day she will not sleep through the night, let alone one hour. this is what we have tried.

*rice in bottle
*set schedules
*feeding more
*feeding less
*rocking her to sleep
*sleeping with her
*background noise
*more naps during day
*less naps during day
*letting her cry for 5 min then going and calming her down, letting her cry again...did that for 3 weeks, never worked
*we let her scream from 12am to 4am, she never gave in, just kept screaming, and never fell asleep.

we have tried just about every method out there. basically, all i am looking for is someone with either a similar story or something else we can try. we have talked to the doctor and he doesnt seem too concerned. we are so frustrated, tired, irritated and overwhelmed. i dont know what to do. adoption has been considered. our daughter wakes up every 30 to 45 minutes at night. we cant do it anymore. please tell me im not the only one going through this!!

My 8 week old little girl is Breast Feed, but she wants to suck All the time! She will not take soothers (i've tried the ones for Breast Feed babies, as well as normal ones). She won't go to sleep without being on my breast, but she doesn't want to eat. She uses me for comfort. This has created a problem as she won't stop crying when I leave her with her Grand-parents or her Father! As soon as they call me to come back, I hold her and put her on my breast and she stops just like that.I love her to death, but I need a couple hours to myself once a week. Any solutions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I saw a picture of a baby gift basket in which the baby clothes were folded to look like flowers and placed on stems to look like tulips. I think they're called baby bunch baskets. I would love to make one for my friend's baby shower, but I haven't the slightest idea on where to find the instructions for it online. Does anyone know?

She is getting her first 2 bottom teeth and I was just wondering if anyone had any old wives tales or neat ideas that they used to help soothe the pain, or things that your baby chewed or gnawed on that is outta the ordinary? I have done the tylenol, orajel and biter biscuits, I need to pull out the big guns!
