I liked a book called "My First Signs" because it teaches true sign language. Some of the books change the signs in an effort to simplify it. I think it is best for a child to learn the real signs in case they ever have to communicate with someone who is deaf in the future.

If you are serious about it, try investing or borrowing from your local library www.signingtime.com videos. It's the best out there and believe me, I've been through many options as a teacher, working with deaf, hh, and hearing infants.
