The bottle should be fine, I'd be more worried about the nipple. If its silicone its probably fine, but if its rubber it may have broken down over time.

The plastic bottles do go bad. The plastic gets brittle and can crack. The air leaking in makes the milk go bad and also increases the risk of leaking which keeps you from getting an accurate idea of how much baby has had. Just go buy a disposable bottle for a few dollars. It's worth it for peace of mind.

The bottle should be fine. You may need a new nipple.
If the child is 8 mos old and has never had a bottle, do you think he'll even take it? A sippy cup might be a better option at this age.

The bottle will be fine, I 'd just run it through the dishwasher once to get it good and clean. The nipple will need to be replaced if it is rubber, but if it's silicone, (clear) then it too will only need a good washing. Have fun on your night out with hubby!

The bottle should be fine...replace the nipple. Though you can buy baby bottles(gerber) at most dollar stores...and you probably only need a couple.

I have heard plastic is bad for trapping germs, I would not use it, but definately not the nipple, I threw mine out every few months when my kids were on bottles (the nipples, not the bottles)

The bottle should be perfectly fine as long as its clean, I dont see why there would be anything wrong with that.

really everyone will tell you that you should buy new bottles... but if you sterlize the bottle you can use it.. but you will need to get new nipples... they tend to keep bacteria inside when they sitt and also may deteriate.... hope that helps
