Ok, so I started breastfeeding. but it was too painful and I gave up! so instead I decided I still wanted my baby to get my breast milk because It's better for her! so instead of breastfeeding I pumped out my milk! I pumped every 3 hours and I would get about 4-5 oz. Well yesturday when I went to pump I only would get about 2 oz. so I thought it was my pump! so I went out and bought a new different one. And I still can only get about 2oz out. well right now she only drinks about 2 oz at a time. so I was fine. Well today I went to pump and i only can get about 1 oz at every 3 hours. she drinks more then that she drinks 2 oz every 2 hours. and it is sunday so i can not contact my lactation consultant until tomorrow. So that is why I am asking on here. Well I decided to give her formula until I can figure out what is going on with me. And I got her goodstart kind that has nutreants that are found in breastmilk! Well she keeps spiting it up everytime she eats it. I don't know what to do!

Our baby was born premature, the only complication he seems to be having is acid reflux. The doctor told us to mix rice cereal in with the formula. Only problem is it either comes out too fast for him or not at all. Currently we are using Dr. Browns with y cut nipples, or nubby bottles with nipples we cut ourselves. The ones we cut seem to have the best results most of the time, but I was hoping someone knew something better.

I've never made a diaper cake, but I have been researching instructions on the internet. I don't know how to get the tiers to attach to the base, and to each other. Seems like loops of Scotch tape would tear the Pampers, and I don't understand how dowels would work if the tiers are graduated sizes, like a wedding cake.
I have the basic idea, but just need this information. Oh, and what do you use for the bottom circle? It would have to be sturdy enough to hold the weight of the "cake" when transporting it. Guess I'm "dum," but I need help!!!

I know I'm going to need one or the other as I have a small toddler too and will need my hands free.
I have heard bad things about front carriers, that they put pressure on the base of babies spine which is not good for them. Is this true?
The two I was looking at are the Baby Bjorn front carrier and the Baba sling.
Any suggestions?

For the first month I only breastfed, after that I had to use a bottle and integrated formula because he ate so much and I couldn't produce enough milk. It seemed to be working fine doing both until a few days ago when he refuses to breastfeed. He just wails until I give him the bottle. What to do?

I use playtex ventiair bottles for pumped breastmilk, but lately I noticed there are like a stains inside of the bottle. They also feel kinda oily, although after I use it I put it into hot soapy water for couple of minutes and then rinse it with hot water. I even try to boil them for 10 minutes, but it didn't help. I don't have a dishwasher and don't want my baby to eat out from dirty bottles. Does anybody has any advice how to clean them?

She strains really hard to have a bowel movement & when she does the stool is thick like play-dough. She will have 1/day sometimes 2. But each time she cries & really has to push. My pediatrician doesn't seem to concerned but I don't' think this is normal. I've tried the karo syrup (1tsp in 4oz of formula) and it doesn't seem to be working. I pump her legs, massage the belly, just about everything I can think of to try & help her. The formula I'm giving her is Enfamil Prosoblee. I'm afraid if this continues she is going to have more problems later to come. She has been like this since we brought her home from the hospital. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone else hit a rough patch at day 5 of breastfeeding? Baby wouldn't latch because my breasts were overly engorged. He's taken small bits of formula for most of the day, because he needed to eat something. I pumped and pumped and pumped and he still won't latch on even though he's definately hungry. I tried hot shower, breast massage and pumping. Ready to give up - please help!!!
