High doses of estrogen given by injection. Although effective in stopping milk production, high-dose estrogen increases the risk of blood clots in the mother — already a leading cause of death associated with childbirth.
Bromocriptine. This drug effectively inhibits the hormone (prolactin) that signals milk production. However, it is no longer recommended for this purpose because it can cause dangerously low blood pressure and stroke.

Seriously if you are not going to breastfeed you are just going to have to deal with a few days of discomfort. I'm sorry but you have to pay for being selfish. There are 101 reasons to breastfeed and only like 3 to formula feed which are: HIV in the mother AND living in a country with clean water, Certain rare metabolic disorders in the infant and even then sometimes the breastmilk can be processed to make it safe, not enough milk which only happens to 1% or less of women and even then banked milk should be used.

When I stopped breast feeding my little one - I had loads of breast milk left and I would leak everytime I would have usually fed. I went to my doctors but they no longer like giving you tablets. I was advised to drink less to help dry the breastmilk and dissolveable tablets like andrews can help too. I dried up in a couple of weeks just by doing these things and I should say it won't take too long for you to dry up, as you haven't encouraged breastmilk production by feeding. Try to not express to relieve build up as this will prolong it. And wear comfortable bras.

I heard those pills were banded b/c they were dangerous. Why don't you do it naturally? just let your breast engorge, it will be uncomfortable but it will stop producing. don't take anything that is dangerous to your health. Talk to your dr.
