My son (5 months) doesn't sleep peacefully. We lay him down on his back but he'll turn over onto his tummy while sleeping, then it seems like he can't get into a comfortable position and moves around so much, he wakes himself up. Then we have to wake up and rock him back to sleep. If we leave him alone, he'll just cry and cry, and won't stop. This happens a few times a night EVERY night for the past month and a half. Has anyone else experienced this?

I think my milk is drying up what do I do? Today I gave my son formula and he seams happy now and he hasn’t lately because of not getting much milk from me. somehow I feel like I failed because I couldn’t go the whole year, but I did 5 months and my husband says that’s better than some women do. So should I call the doc and see if he can help or should I let him use formula if so what are the best bottles. When did most of you dry up thanks?

9mo. old won't sleep. I've tried putting him tobed with full tummy, music, not so full of tummy, after bath, nothing seems to work. He will sleep soundly if he's being held or in mom and dad's bed, but will only last for a short time like20-30 min for nap and sometimes 2-3hrs at night then after that he's up. I've also tried letting him cry for a bit, but that just seems to wake him up mor the longer he cries. Any ideas on what might help?

My daughter is 4 months old and I have breast fed her since the day she came home. When she falls asleep she is usually at the breast. When i put her in her own bed at night she instantly wakes up and starts screaming I have tried to let her "cry it out" but she scream for hours. everyone is telling me to let her fall asleep on her own but she wont and its so hard for me to hear her scream like that. any ideas about what I should do? how can I help her fall asleep with my breast? I know she is not"spoiled" because it is a proven fact you can NOT spoil a baby this age.... Everyone is telling me to do different thing. People say do NOT let her cry her self to sleep she is to young and ... she will grow up not as loving as she would be if I hadn't let her cry .... im also scared to let her cry it out because the baby book says it makes them not trust that you will be their for them.. so when they grow up they are very insecure .

My 5 month old baby boy, drinks different amounts each time he feeds is that normal? how long does it take for a baby to drink a bottle?

I gave birth to a 9.8 lb little girl, and she has an appetite that just keeps growing very rapidly. We feed her with breastmilk via the bottle due to latching concerns, but I breastfeed her from time to time, and man does she go to town. She has healthy bowel movements, and urinates regularly, but I still worry that she may be overfeeding. Right now we are feeding her 4-5 oz per feeding every 2-3 hours a day, and up to 6 oz every 3-4 hours during the night. That is up from the 2-3 oz she was drinking during the first week! Even though the pediatrician says this is ok, since its breastmilk, I still worry she is eating just too much considering her age.

My seven week old has been falling asleep between 12-1am every night since she was born. I cannot get her down any earlier even if I try to wake her up earlier or limit naps. Any suggestions?

2007-02-09 13:32:45 · 3 answers · asked by andreakb1 2

My seven week old only seems to want to eat on one breast in one sitting and then wants to eat again within the next hour to hour and a half. The only way I can get her to eat more and keep her sastified longer is to pump and give her milk through the bottle. Should I just keep on pumping and feeding her that way. I've tried everything, like burping and then offering her the other side or taking her off the breast early and trying to put her on the other side and she still refuses. She'll only eat for 5-7 minutes! Help!
