How old is he?
The one thing you will want to be aware of is a nursing strike. If you notice that he is starting to refuse breastmilk, you want to cut back on the solids so that he doesn't wean prematurely. But both of my children went through strange phases when it came to foods. Some days they would just want to nurse, some days they would prefer solids.

You didn't mention his age, so I presume he is older than 3 months, because he is eating baby food. Sorry if I guessed wrong.
Once a baby begins to eat solid foods, they may not want as much milk as they used to eat, which is one of the reasons why doctors don't recommend giving them baby food too soon. The other is a baby won't get the nutrients from food that he or she gets from your milk or formula.
Depending on when & how much food he eats, he could appear finicky, but may not be as hungry.
If he is eating more food than he gets milk, you might want to discuss it with your pediatrician, so that you can get his instructions on feeding your baby, and what to expect now that he's eating cereal.
If your doctor said it's okay to feed him cereal, ask him about when to feed him milk, and how much he should take in.
You may be able to find out more online at the Baby Center and at ivillage.
Hope this helps!

Yes, they do. It will drive you nuts until they leave home for college! Mine either eat everything or pick at their food, and it makes me nuts. They drinking thing is all over the map as well. The babies and the toddlers and the older ones are all on thier own schedules for eating, sleeping and having huge growth spurts! Relax Mama, it's fairly normal.

One thing not mentioned here: He may be going through a growth spurt. Babies eating habits can change dramatically during growth spurts, and they hit a lot of them within the first 2 years of life.
