Breastmilk or formula?
A breastfed baby should eat as much as he or she wants whenever he or she wants.
I'm pretty sure it's the same thing with a formula-fed baby.
Feedings (especially at this age) should not be regulated by amount or by time.
Their stomachs are extremely small, and can hold very little, so they will eat often. Also, since they go through many growth spurts, sometimes they will eat more and other times less. For these reasons and many others, don't regulate your baby's feedings.

My daugher was born 7 pound 13 ounce and the doctor said that if she was feeding 3hrs then it was 66mls and if it was 4hrs 88mls, but she would only drink around 60mls even if it was the 4hrs. All children are different just like adult everyone has different amounts. Shes just gone 9wks old and is having 120-180mls of formula. If breastfeeding then when ever your child is needing as they may not get all they need in the one feed. If your really concerned then speak to your doctor or a mid wife and ask what they think. Good luck

According to my pediatrician, babies that age should be able to eat all they want, as long as they aren't spitting up a lot afterwards. My 7 week old 10 1/2 lb daughter eats between 3-6 ounces at a feeding, depending on her mood. Good luck!

I would say about 4 to 6 ounces every four hours. Always try to keep on schedule it makes it better for the baby and better for the mom. How much did the baby weigh at birth? Hope this helps....

Here is the standard formula for figuring out how much a child should drink:
100ml per kilogram for the first 10 kg
plus
50 ml/kg for the second 10 kg
plus
20ml/kg for the balance.
7lbs, 14oz = 3.58kg
3.58x100 = 358ml per day or 12oz.
12oz per day is the minimum requirement for your child's weight.
Always check with your doc when in doubt.

Around 2-4 oz. sometimes more sometimes less. If the Dr says hes growing OK, you are doing just fine.

i would not measure if its breast milk cause a child knows when he or she should eat. and if you measure then well you may not be giving your child enough. and your child will let you know when they are full.
