How do I gently explain to my friend that feeding her young baby mashed rusks & milk in a baby bottle is really bad for the baby?

Heath visitors (and I) advised her not to but she thinks its the only option for her baby.

What are the main reasons against this?

My girlfriend and I have a two month old baby. Since then we haven't been intimate at all. She finds it weird to have sex when the baby is in the room and also if the baby cries during us doing things she said it would just be pointless considering a baby needs so much attention. The other problem is, she doesn't want to hire a babysitter each time we want to make love because she feels as though she is paying money to get rid of her kid just so she can make me happy. Which makes me seem like I want to get rid of the kid. Then she calls me jealous because of attention to the baby and not me. That's not the case, I just need to make love to the one I love. That's why we had a kid, I didn't want to sleep with another girl, and now I can't sleep with her either. It's not the only thing in a relationshol, no, but eventually it is nessecary on occasion. Also, idk if this helps, but my girlfriend never really enjoyed sex ever anyways. More pain than pleasure for her cuz she's a small girl.

The last time I went this long without sleep I collapsed, I'm afraid of it happening again, it would surely scare my daughter, and what if I'm holding the baby? I can't get any help, and my hubby doesn't wake up at night because of his meds. My kids won't let me nap during the day, and obviously not at night either. Help! Any advice is appreciated, Thanks!

I can't get any help because the only family I have is my mom, who has multiple personality disorder and can't be trusted. My kids are 2.5 and 3 months, if one isn't up, the other is!
I also haven't made any new friends here yet, we moved here when I was pregnant, and I was too sick to go anywhere but the hospital...
I've tried to get my daughter to play quietly or watch tv when the baby sleeps in the morning, even an hour would help, but though she's usually good, I can't get any co-operation, she hates it when I try to nap.

my son seems like he cannot sleep or relax becasue he is always moving his legs, he rubs them together adn keeps everyone up at night from it. i thought it was cute at first but now im a little worried its getting out of hand. he bangs them on the floor (he is only 5 months old so he isnt very mobil yet) and he violently kicks anything or anyone that gets in the way of his legs. is this normal?

also he scratches blankets or any flat surface (mattresses, couches, shirts, somtimes counters). i tried to just cut his nails shorter but somhow he still manages to scratch things that make noise when he does it. im not too worried about that (even thought it hurts my face somtimes) but the legs bother me.

I had incredible trouble with breastfeeding, I wasn't able to produce enough for my son. In a previous response to someone elses breastfeeding worries question I gave a supporting message and someone gave me a thumbs down for it. I now feel like I've been jibed for not being able to breastfeed my son. I couldn't help it - whoever it was who thought I deserved a thumbs down - my body just coudln't do what it was supposed to.

I intend on trying with every other child I have, and look forward to it. What I would like to know is how did any of you feel when you were able to do it. I cried as I felt I'd let my child down.

First, I am 39 weeks today, and VERY ready to have my baby boy in my arms rather than on my bladder!!! Okay, on Monday night from about 11:30pm until 1:20 am I had contractions that ranged from about 12 minutes apart to about 5 minutes apart. Then, at 1:20, they just stopped. I know this is normal but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so, how soon after did you deliver?

My 6 week old's eyes seem to be changing already, I see a really light brown almost sand colored ring around the center, and just an overall change in the shade of blue. Just curious?

I left my 3 1/2 month old daughter with her grandmother (her dad's mom) for a few hours this morning, So she could visit with her and stuff, And upon picking her up, Her grandmother informed me that she'd given her a bottle of sugar water. I'm not exactly sure why she did this, as I sent formula and water w/ my daughter.
Anyway- I was wondering if this will harm my daughters insides???

Is this a myth? I have a cold. Can your baby get sick just from me breathing on her? Do viruses move throught the air even if I don't sneeze?

My 5.5 mo old son used to take his naps in the living room, either in his bouncer,on a pillow on top of the couch or play gym. I got him taking naps in his crib. I'm just wondering if he now socializes his crib for nap time instead of bedtime? Because I've been having problems with him waking up at night and him refusing to go back to sleep in his crib.

He has had huge feet since he was born. Baby socks have never fir his feet, he's been wearing little boys sz 41/2-8 socks since he was like 3 months old. The problem is I CANNOT find shoes that will fit his feet. His feet are big, but his legs are even bigger, so I have to get shoes that will stay on his feet but be big enough to fit around his ankles. I've tried so many different kinds of shoes. Any suggestions? Also I would like to know how to tell what sz his feet are, is there a way to tell by measuring them? Thanks in advance.
