Is this a myth? I have a cold. Can your baby get sick just from me breathing on her? Do viruses move throught the air even if I don't sneeze?

Yes, you can get virus from your baby and she from you.

They do move thru the air, just not like they're hovering in a big cloud over her. To be on the safe side - wash your hands before you touch her - this way, even if you unconsciously rub your nose or something, you get rid of the germs. (Handwashing is the best defense against colds!) If you're breastfeeding, there's no need to stop - the baby will get valuable antibodies from you. If you do feel a cough or sneeze coming on, just turn away from her so you don't sneeze directly on her.

Feel better!

Most definitely viruses are in your home as we are typing. My advice change furnace filter at least every three months use a good hepa by 3-m about 10.00 but good investment also I would by a mask you can find them at walgreens.I have been doing this I have a preemie keep hand sanitizer close dont forget to use and limit the number of people around baby RSV can be a really nasty thing and can devolop just from catching a cold.
