My 8 month old baby stopped eating baby food and taking her formula. She won't take anything but little amounts of formula at a time. She is teething, I know teething can cause this. But how do i get her to eat and drink again? I've tried everything please help

For teething as mom to 3 I recommend Baby Orajel. IT WORKS WONDERS!! Then if she still doesn't eat after that, take her to the doctor. For my teething little ones we fed them bits of cool things, like ice cream, or cool pudding, some cool baby food fruit. It seems to help. The Baby Orajel will soothe her gums and she'll feel more like eating. Tylenol is good, but has side effects to worry about.

Try a little Tylenol or Motrin about 30 minutes before mealtimes - this way it has time to kick in. Try a cup instead of the bottle - that can be painful. Try giving her formula cold - cold soothes sore mouths.

If she's not urinating, she needs to see the doctor ASAP.

Good luck!

maybe some kind of pain relief will do it. You have to see a pediatrician about that though.
