Because you are sitting down and she knows, I suspect, that you will pick her up and hold her. I presume that you or he has reinforced this behavior enough that she has you figured out.
Wait till she's a toddler. Or worse, a teenager!!

I undergo in ideas Maverick laying in his bassinet and screaming, and that i replace into so drained and so in discomfort (i replace into decrease each of how from my vagina to my butt for the period of hard work and that they merely prescribed me tylenol) and that i merely undergo in ideas screaming at him to close up...I felt so undesirable, or perhaps now i glance back on those days and need to god it would not impact him in some way deep down. I recommend, he's a chuffed little one, consistently smiling and guffawing and loves me lots, yet I nonetheless think of approximately those days. i do no longer recognize if i visit ever forgive myself. I admit however that i mandatory extra help too that I wasn't getting. one factor I certainly have found out however is whilst its perplexing to merely take a transformation of %., do something diverse despite if its working an errand or taking a walk, or letting little one play on a similar time as I Y!A (like Y!A is a verb...oh gosh, what has this habit come to). even if it facilitates. i won't even think of how difficult itll be whilst he's crawling, a minimal of now it is not suitable that issues are cluttered, yet whilst he's crawling and could grab each little thing that's going to be difficult.

Trust me when I say you are not the only one going through this...I couldn't tell you how many cold dinners I ate or dinners I ate while holding a baby because all 3 of my girls did it. It's like they have some kind of radar that says "hey mommy is about to eat lets start crying"

She is fascinated by everything you do and eating smells good too!!
When my baby was tiny we used to take turns to hold her while we ate. Eventually she was old enough for a high chair and now she's a year old she sits with us when we eat during the day.

She can probably smell the food that you are eating. My son used to wake up everytime he smelled my food... and I mean every time... it was horrible. I could barely eat anything with him around. lol I mean i could just lay him down to go to sleep or just lay him down for a nap where he is totally out of it and he will snap awake everytime he smelled any food. Honestly this is a phase that most babies go through, just either hold her while you eat or put her in a swing while you eat. goodluck

ordinarily i'd say feed baby first so parents can eat in peace. but in this case you need to keep her busy while you eat, so if she's really hungry give her food while you are eating, this will keep her quiet. If this doesn't work, feed her early, and if it just fussing--then i'd even put her in her crib or playpen in another room and eat peacefully. This won't last forever--by the time shes a toddler you'll all be able to eat together.

My son did the same thing. he is now 5 1/2 months old and on baby food so i put him in his chair and feed him while we eat and he is totally content. If your baby is old enough put her in a high chair and if you are not feeding her then maybe just give her a toy to play with so she feels involved and she can be more at your level.

It is the parent curse. I am telling you, it has happened with both of my kids and everyone I know. I think it might have something to do with not paying attention to them or something. But serious, this is for whatever reason normal. I joke that I am used to eating cold food because I am a mother, it is just the way it seems to go. GOOD LUCK

Baby wants to mimic mommy and daddy - it's natural. Try feeding her at the same time you eat or if she's older than 6 months, you can try giving her little bits of what you're eating.

can you not put her down from the table and give her a toy / book to amuse her...not sure of age etc but maybe bring her meal time earlier and have yours a little later........sounds like she has JUST had all the focus on her and she is getting a bit put out that now someone else is getting more attention than her.
Regards
