My 9month old daughter gets really cute and excited when I or anyone else pays visual attention to her. Can this be harmful to her self esteem later in life when she won't be 'as cute'? Is this normal for a baby to really enjoy visual affection? Any suggestions if you do think it will cause problems for her later in life?

There is a significant weight difference, so they're easy to tell apart, however if they both have pacifiers in their mouths, they look VERY similar.

Same hair color, same blood type.

What other features can you look at to know whether they're fraternal or identical?

Is there a simple, inexpensive medical test that can be performed to find out definitivly?

Early ultrasound docs guessed they were fraternal. Nursury nurses thought they were identical. Separate sacs (this can go either way). I understand that fingerprints are unique among identical twins.

....and please don't give me the "if they don't look alike they're fraternal" line. If it were that obvious, I wouldn't be asking this question. Thanks

Ok so we are finally transitioning dd to milk.( She has always got up once during the night to eat(I know we should stop feeding her), but she has only slept thru the night maybe 5 times, anyway, since the transition to milk, we are doing 1/2 and 1/2 she is waking up 2 times a night wanting to eat. She went to bed at 7:00 last night and took a 8 oz. bottle(1/2 formula,1/2 milk) woke up at 11 and drank 6 oz. and just woke up at 4 and took 4 oz. She drank almost an entire days worth of milk in 9 hours. I know the milk is less filling and she has actually been eating some food so what is going on. Is this normal? I thought getting up once was bad , now twice. I am trying to tackle one battle at a time and getting her off formula was first, next is sleeping thru the night. I still am concerned she is hungry and I don't want her getting so worked up she vomits. She is starting to drink out of the nuby cup, but only water. if I put milk in there she freaks out. She refuses anything but water

My 10 month child is not eating by himself but we have to feed him by force. He is not taking anything into his mouth and spiting out anything given to him into his mouth. We tried keeping him hungry for 7-8 hours but it didn't help. We allow him playing with the food but it wasn't of any help either. Now it is quite a deadlock and We want to get out of it.

it is winter time here and maybe cold temperature is one of the causes of her vomiting.

I have had two children...the most recent was 13 yrs ago. I remember breast feeding for about 3 months with each child. It was hard. It was demanding, uncomfortable and messy as hell (leaking all the time).

Now after all these years Im about to have another baby. My fiance is no longer in my life (cheating dawg). I have no help in this city, no family, no spouse. Just a difficult teenager I must contend with each day....and very very soon a newborn too

These days they tell you to breastfeed..and make you feel guilty if you dont...but for the first time tonight Im considering that maybe it isnt the best thing for me. Making up a days worth of bottles is so much easier...and then I know how much baby is getting.

I honestly dont think I can handle months of sleep deprevation (feeding every 2 hrs or so). Being on my own is hard enough.

Im afraid of falling to depression as it is. Maybe everything will be fine, but who knows

Its ok NOT to breastfeed right?

Hi I asked this same question before, but I don't think I made it clear: I am in no way looking for a GRACO carseat. I am looking for a system that is just SIMILAR to the Graco Mosaic. I want an Evenflo infant carrier/carseat (nothing but that will do) that snaps into a stroller, but I would like the stroller to be a very small, compact, folding model that will fit in a very compct vehicle. Does anyone know of anything along these lines? I don't care what brand the stroller is, as long as I can find one in a complimentary color/pattern to any Evenflo carseat/carrier. I specifically like the mosaic stroller b/c it folds so small, takes up little room & weighs so little. But hubby and I both prefer the EZ carry handle on the Evenflo carseat/carrier and no one else but them makes them. And I already know all about babywearing, I love it, but sometimes you need a stroller, Thanks to all that answered previously but can anyone help me out with this? Thanks!

My 10 week old baby is not eating well. She breastfeeds for 5 minutes then becomes fussy, does not take the bottle (she can’t master how to suck it). We tried syringe feeding but she becomes frustrated and starts crying. In total she eats about 1.5-2oz per feeding and is always hungry. Has any one been in the same situation? Any advise? Thank you.

My husband and I have been vegetarian for 4 years. I do eat eggs and dairy. I have a healthy 3 month old who is breastfed. I went through my diet with my ob when I was pregnant, and now with the pediatrician to make sure I'm getting all the necessary nutrients for my baby. We are trying to decide if we should give him meat or keep him vegetarian when he starts on solids (after the baby cereal of course).

I would love to hear from those who have made this decision with their children. We are only going to base our decision on health issues and not on the killing of animals for the food.

Would you buy baby diapers with NFL logo's on them? Do they even exist? I was looking for some Dallas Cowboys ones so my little girl can poop in them and couldn't find them ANYWHERE! Do you think people would buy them and if so would they use them to bash teams they don't like or support teams they like? What would YOU do?

My 13 week old has recently started waking every hour at night not necesseraly for feeding but she is just unsettled. A few weeks ago I thought she was finally setting into a routine and only woke three times between 8pm and 7am for feeding. She never used to cry and just feed with no fuss and went straight back to sleep. Now she cries and fusses each time she wakes every hour and we have to rock her back to sleep. I was thinking maybe she is not satisfied with milk (she takes 3-4 oz every 3 hours at night) and maybe I could start her on baby rice in her night bottle. Can anyone offer any advice?

My sister in-law has a size F cup size and she is unable to use a regular breast pump. We tried for an hour yesterday and we cannot seem to get the pump to form a seal around her breast because it is too big to fit into the funnel at all.

Do you know of any special breast pumps for really large breasts?

My 6 month old daughter has just in the past few days started to get tiny little red dots in the nappy area, (but more close to her genitals) and I dont know what this is? is it nappy rash? I have been applying rash powder to the area but cant see a change and I also try let her play with no nappy on for a bit each day. Does this sound like nappy rash to you or something else?
