My baby got her 4 month shots yesterday morning, and was fussy, sleepy, and didn't eat as much as usual yesterday. I thought that the effects from those shots were only supposed to last 24 hours (till 10:30 am Wednesday) and she was acting fine all day, except that she still wasn't eating. I just took her rectal temperature, and it was 100.5. I called the dr, who said that if she is still not feeling well tomorrow, he will look at her.

Did your baby have negative reactions to the shots? How long did they last?

Hi, I have an urgent question...I have a 7 week old baby and ever since he was 2 weeks old he started spitting up a little more then half of what he ate. It could be right after he's done, or it can take a while. But it's getting worse and I took him to the doctor yesterday and told her what was going on and she said since he is gaining weight, it is ok. He's on Enfamil Lipil with Iron. Is this normal or should I push the issue and get his formula changed or just wait it out??

I don't know what to do? I left her crying for sometime but she keeps crying and crying nonstop. I am afraid she will develop a negative feeling as I am ignoring her.

I have some questions for you.

1. I am breastfeeding and I want to introduce formula. My baby hates it, no matter the trademark, he just does not like the taste! What to do? Any other alternatives?

2. How much he should be eating? (give me an example of type of foods and amount you give your baby daily)

3. When do they start crawling?

4. When can I expect the first word?

My sister's baby son who is now 9 months when ever he is tired has a tendacy to lay face down and grab the covers (or whatever he's lying on at the time) and began to hump/going up and down. He continues to do this until he has actually fallen asleep. It kind of disturbing but funny at the same time. He has been doing this since 7 months. He is the first boy of a family of 8 girls, so we are unsure if this is normal for baby boys or should we be concerned.

How long after birth does the umbilical cord fall off?

My baby's umbilical cord was oozing some yellow/brown puss yesterday. I've been cleaning it with alcohol like the hospital said, but I'm not sure if this is normal. Anyone know what it could be, and is my baby ok?

Thank you!

does anyone else feel uncomfortable breastfeeding in public? I have not had to do so yet, but it's only a matter of time since I am making a 9 hour trip with just me and my 4 year old and 6 week old. And planning a family vacation in march. Is it illegal to breastfeed in certain places? Do you worry that you will offend people? Where are good places to breastfeed and bad places? I do cover up with a blanket.

I have a 3 month old that i am breastfeeding. I was treated for an breast infection in my right breast about 2 weeks ago. Now I have it again in my left breast. I have already gone to the doctor and got a prescription, but i was wondering if there was any vitamin/supplement that i could take to prevent me from getting this again. Also, if I keep getting this, does it mean that I have to stop breastfeeding? I breastfeed my 1st baby until she was 9 months and had no problems so im not used to this.

My baby just started to fully learn how to crawl at 9 months and can stand up on things. How many months did it take for your baby to start walking once she started to crawl. I was wondering if my baby will be able to walk on her 1st birthday. I know all babies are differnt..

hi, i am going to be a father in 2 months!(first time). while i was searching for infant car seats, i was told that not all the car seats will fit correctly to all vehicles. i tried many searches but none of them gave me a clear answer about which one would be the best car seat for odyssey minivan. ( i am from a different country where car seats are not required for infants, and i have been in america for only a short while). i am pretty confused about what to buy.so some one pleaseeeee help me with some helpful suggestions based on your personal experience. thank you

I know every baby is different, but my 4 mo. old has not rolled over yet and she doesn't seem to be anywhere close. She lifts her head for a few seconds at a time, but she never uses her arms (only her back or torso) to lift her head up. Is this something I should be concerned with?

P.S. I will be asking her doctor about it on Friday, I just wanted some opinions from experienced parents.

Thanks!

Hi! I'm looking for a co-ed baby shower game that's not too physical (i.e. diapering the baby), and that would get everyone involved. I just don't want something too cheesy. Can you guys please help me out?

I breastfed my 1st two children for a few months each time...so I know about letting the baby nurse while you lay on your side...yeah this is so much easier in the middle of the night than getting up, warming a bottle, ect....but my question is....if you do this...dont you still get up when the baby finishes nursing, burp him/her and change the diaper??? (Warming a bottle is the easy part!)

I was always taught....feed, burp, change....feed, burp, change....but it seems so intrusive after baby (and maybe you) have peacefully drifted off

What do you do?

I have a Graco SnugRide infant car seat. However, my 5-month old is over two feet tall and about 18 lbs. Assuming she reaches the 20 lb max before her first birthday, what kind of car seat do I need to get?
