Go to this site for exact dosage amounts, but what works for my 17 month old is something with an antihistamine like Robitussin Pediatric Night Relief. The site says for a 15 month old between 18-23 pounds give 1/2 a teaspoon every 6 hours. If you check out the sie they have all the meds that are okay to give 6 months and up and how much to give depending on the babies age and weight. You should always ask your doctor, but mine said antihistamines were okay at 6 months.

Also, if you can, use a vaporizer in her room at night it really helps!!! Good luck, hope she feels better soon!

Prevention they say"Is the best medicine"Clean laundry
household maybe some lysol or bleach.Never bathe with
your infant in a bath if you have transmittable germs like
a bladder infection or so.Besides your germs are in fact
more immediate and mighty. You may have developed
certain resistance. But your infant may have not.And you may rather wait til they are older and stronger to expose them to such.
Keep your kids nose whiped as much as possible .
\When you let it constantly drool back into their mouths you are
re infecting them.Keep them clean ,You may be reinfesting them with the original strain of the infecting germ. hand s ect as much as possible .Don't share eating utensils otherwise ect.Wash all babies bottles, pacifiers, ect with hoit soapy water and rinse clean often.Don't refill the same germy bottle just because it only had water in it if your child is sick Cause unless
your child is active within a group of more then two or many. They have most likely contracted it from you.Don't assume your child is "sick already" and none of these things count
They certainly do count to the duration of the sickness.
And there is nothing more sadder to any parent then a sick child.
No matter what it is.So any parent would atleast want to "try" and
illiminate all these "theoretical" possibilities.iF your child is
atleast two and you "know" whats going around via "bug"
especially the flu bug. You might want to immedially remove
all dairy products as much as possible. It is these "dairy products
human or otherwise that cause the diarraih associated with the flu. And diara pre curses dehydration which leads to more serious complications and illness.

Talk to your pediatrician. My ped advises not to give ANYTHING for coughs, she says that the cough is to get something out of their system and if you suppress it you could cause fluid build up.
I have never given my kids any cough type meds because of that. Give her tylenol if she is running a fever. Give her a warm shower with you and that should help clear up her nose and chest. And she will sleep a whole lot better.
If she will eat citrus then that will be really good for her. Or giving her plenty of fluids that has vitamin C in it.

When my 5 month old gets sick, I give him triaminic, it seems to work the best. I am directed by his doctor to give him 2milliters. Look at the baby dropper, if it doesnt have 1-10 ml marks, and just 2 lines, give her half of the bottom line, which would be 2ml.(and they usually give them to you at the phamarcy if you ask)
When he's congested, I plug in one of those wall plug vaporizers and give him Vicks baby rub. It works great and helps him breathe. I usually put him on his boppy pillow and let him sleep, because it keeps his head higher than his chest, which helps the phlegm.

I would keep the place on the cool side, and she can just cover up with a blanket. If she gets to hot it will cause the cough to be wore. I would aslo have her drink warm apple juice or warm tea would be better help sooth her throat and loosen anything up she needs to cough up. Limit the food in take to soups and jello. If she does it make sure its soft and lots to drink after to clear her throat.
Hope your little one feels better soon.

Triametic cough and congestion infant strips. Good for under 2 yrs. Children under 20lbs should use 1/2 of a strip (discard the unused portion). Good for all children over 4mo.

I would try a "little remedy". They make little noses, little colds and little fevers. Their little tummies is a miracle worker. So i would give that a shot. If that doesn't work maybe try triaminic.
