It all comes natural. The only hard thing is having to listen to the crying. No parent wants their child to be crying, its not just the noise but you want them to be happy.
I use the process of elimination when dealing with a crying baby. First, check the nappy. Second think how long has it been since the baby last had a feed. Third, maybe the baby is too hot or too cold. Fourth, maybe it is just the position the baby is laying in, try moving the baby. Lastly, maybe baby just wants cuddles.
Cuddles is the reward for all the first steps.

The first few weeks are a little rough. She will be tired and sore (if she breastfeeds or had a c-section) her hormones will be stabilizing and the baby will be on what ever schedule it picks. That means your sister will be tired and need to rest at times most grown ups dont take a nap. What can you do to help? Well you could watch the baby while she naps or take baby for an hour or two so she can do some things she might want to do.

Well, it's not hard to take care of your baby that is something that usually come naturally. The hard things are the money and the lack of sleep. All babies are different. Some are a breeze and just happy go lucky.....others.....not so much. Regardless, be confident that your sister can handle it and if you want to help babysit and let her get some rest every now and then.

Being a mother is the hardest thing she will ever have to deal with, regardless if its her first or her fifth. I am on child number 3 and it will not be any easier than the other 2. She has 18 years of heartache and laughter ahead of her, but at the end it will all be worth it.
Babies are hard work and it doesn't get easier as they get older, maternal instincts have nothing to do with.

Honestly, it is very hard and very easy. It's exhausting and thankless and you never get a break and you spend all your money and you look like hell and there is never enough time for you , BUT you love that baby like you never imagined you could love anyone and you just don't mind how hard it is. So don't worry about your sister, she will be exhausted and worn out at first and she will consider herself the luckiest person ever!

Its not hard... of course every baby is different and some require a little more than others but it will come naturally especially if she has babysat before... every mom does get frustrated every now and then but mostly when they get a lil older like right now my 18 month son is walkin on the kitchen table... they will get to be a hand full and she'll get frustrated but it is ALL worth it!!!

Very hard, it is not like playing with dolls. I hope that you sister is ready to be a role model and really be there all the time for this baby. This is a FULL time job.

It's very stressful, expensive and tiring to raise a child. My oldest is 5 and he's still no less work then my infant.
It helps to have a two-parent household and be financially stable.
Motherhood is extremely rewarding in it's own way. I find a day of selfless giving to be very rewarding.

It is VERY hard. You are no longer just you. You are two people. However, what to do to take care of the baby will come naturally, but overall, it is a very tiring process--but rewarding!
