women have been holding their babies on their hips since the beginning of time. If it made them bowlegged we would all be that way.

No. Most kids have bow legs from being in the womb, etc. Many infants and toddlers experience bow legs as a normal growing process until the age of three. If you are concerned ask your doctor. But, holding kids on your hip may make your spine curve slightly (it happened to my cousin)...try to switch up the sides you hold your baby on.

No. This is an old wives tale. My grandmother told me not to stand my son up as this will make him bowlegged. :)

i'm genuine exceeded, yet I continuously carry my 22 month previous daughter on my genuine hip. i assume with the aid of fact my genuine arm is greater suitable, so it somewhat is easier to hold her for longer sessions of time. Plus, i think of i'm borderline ambidextrous (sp?) with the aid of fact i take advantage of my left arm for just about each and everything aside from writing, so i will nonetheless do issues throughout the time of the domicile with a infant slung on my hip.... :)
