The baby comes when he/she is ready.

The due date of a baby, is actually a date that the DR determines by different factors surrounding conception. That does not mean that the baby will be born on that date. It could be a few days or weeks before, or after that date. When it is time, she will have the baby.

Other then a DR inducing the birth, there is no safe way to cause it to happen sooner.

Her due date is just a guideline. Babies can (and often do) come within 2 weeks after a due date. Very few babies are born on their actual due date. Walking helps, but really the only thing that counts is when the baby is good and ready to come out. I assume you ask because your mom is a nightmare to live with? :). I know I was at 40 weeks so be kind! LOL

There is nothing you can do to speed up a baby's arrival, short of being induced at the hospital or having your membrane "stripped" at the obstetrician's office. My sister had her membrane stripped and her baby came the next evening. My advice is to not try to rush things and induce labor unless the baby seems to be very big and there may be labor difficulties, or if the baby is overdue. Let nature take it's course, unless of course your mom has had enough! LOL!

there really inst anything to make the baby come out faster, while she's in labor, sometimes the dr will tell her to walk to help the baby decend into the pelvis more. she only has a day left, tell her to enjoy the last day of her pregnancy! mabye you guys could go out to eat at her favorite resturant, or to see a movie. good luck with the new brother/sister!

The baby will come when he/she is ready. Unless the doctor induces her, or performs a C-section. Make sure she is walking, and getting as much rest as she can.

The baby will be born when he/she is ready because there is nothing you can do unless the mom wants a c-section or wants to have her labor induced.

A good walk helps, but as others have said, it will come when it's good and ready! Go for a nice walk through the mall! Exercise and shopping!!! What a combo!!!

Congrats on the new baby!!!

The baby will come out when he/she wants--but she can try raspberry tea--that helped--I think with my last one. Its natural and not hard on the body like other things like castor oil.
