I'm looking for information on physical discomfort or challenges associated with things like hemhorroids, episiotomy, exhaustion, nutrition etc. What are health challenges associated with C-Section, or vaginal birth, and what are your tips for getting through those first few weeks after giving birth?

we are about to move across country and since the first time we put him in a carseat our 14 month old has despised it! Once buckled in he screams and cries like he is getting attacked. It's a new and very confortable carseat with lots of cushion for him and perfectly safe. How can I calm my child down for this long trip from CA to NC?

I had my baby 5 months ago. I gained exactly 30 pounds and 20 fell off immediately after the birth. However, I cannot seem to lose the last 10 pounds. I don't know if it's because I'm still nursing or what.

My friend is buying a toy that is 5 months old for Christmas. He wonders what toys are dangerous and which are not.

He told me his nephew does'nt like Elmo or Sesame street. He is thinking of getting him Magnetix is that safe?Maybe he should get the Polly Pocket click on toy.But I'm worried that the kid might choke on the tiny magnets.

His nephew likes Soft objects that are compatible and removeable. Also he is Spanish.

I started out pre-pregnancy as a 36DD-36DDD, and I grew about to a 38E during pregnancy and when I breastfed. But know I have a serious concern, my doctors dont think its an issue though.

I am currently a 38 F or G cup! This is not right! Every month I have to go and be re-fitted for bras. My breast are growing and I am worried. I hate my breasts to begin with! I dont want big boobs. Now they are getting bigger and bigger and no one is listening to me!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions or anything to help me? I have asked 4 Dr's about this and the just avoid it.

I have heard from other women that sometimes it works and sometimes they don't lose the weight. I'm just curious to see how many people on here it actually works for. Thanks!

Can you put into words how much you love your baby? I was trying to think and I don't know if there are words to describe it. I have been on YA for a while tonite and it seems there are an awful lot of unhappy people out there, while I'm sitting here feeling blessed and full of love. Happy answers only please:)

My wife and I are expecting in March.
I am circumcised.
We live in the United States of America.
My wife is Catholic and I'm theologically undecided.
My wife and I think circumcision is unnecessary and a little barbaric, but that forcing a child to suffer too much ridicule for being different is nearly as bad.

So what should we do?

My daughter, who is four months old, continually pulls her soother out of her mouth, or can't seem to suck on it in a way that keeps it in her face! Now, this wouldn't be so bad, only she wants to suck on it! I know young babies don't have great hand control, but it's frustrating to watch, and she cries when she yanks it out. Other times, she sucking away on it like crazy, and I think her tongue pushes it out her mouth. What's going on? Has this happened to anyone else? She's furious when it happens, and I'm getting pretty tired of plunking it back in all the time to calm her down. Help!
