My son is now over 10 weeks old and his doctor has been pressing me to start his vaccinations (despite the fact he was born 6 weeks early..)
I had SEVERE reactions to vaccinations as a child, including encephalitis and a seizure that required hospitalization at the age of 4 following a booster..At age 14 when they gave me another booster of MMR to make up for a missed one years before, I walked out of the doctor's office, vomited, and passed out. I was sick for three weeks following. My daughter had very severe pain reactions following her 4 and 6 months rounds that made me take her to the hospital..she was crying hysterically for hours afterwards and ran a fever for ten days each time. Now I have this doctor breathing down my neck to start him on his rounds..anyone have some good advice here? Anyone else with a severe reaction?

Last name is Cagle. I like matthew or micheal, but those seem overused. I really like alexander but my fiance is completely against the name Logan Alexander. We both really like Logan for the first name though. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 2 month old and I am coming down with a cold. I assume it is inevitable she will get it (or already has) and I am very worried and upset because she is so little to be sick. Do other mothers have experience with this who could give me some advice and reassurance?

My daughter is cutting a tooth and I want to know what is the best kind of teething gel to use for her gums? There is Little Teethers, Orajel, and other brands in the store. I was so confused that I wanted to do a poll to see what everyone prefers. I am talking about gels only not homeopathic.

At what age are you supposed to give your baby cow milk and other dairy products? Just curious as my daughter has been on solids for quite a while and now I think she is ready for it. She is nine months old.

Hello, all. I'd appreciate some help. My husband is in his AIT training for the army, and his Christmas leave (2 weeks) may be his only chance to see his family before we leave for Germany in a few months. So, of course, I agreed that we could go see them over the holiday. Well... the bad news is...

They live in Utah, and we're in Georgia. It's a 3 day drive, maybe even 4 if we drive slow or stop very often. Our son, Jack, is 9 months old and hates being in the car for any length of time. We have just enough money to make the drive safely, so we can't afford to fly or anything like that.

Any tips on keeping Jack entertained and happy while we drive?

Thanks!

My son has a cold. Symptoms are: cough, runny nose(clear), no fever, good spirits and some slight wheezing which started yesterday. He has had the cough since Friday. I called the Dr Sat and asked what I might could give him to help him sleep, I was told Dimetapp for infants. We used that and it did help him sleep better but when he started wheezing yesterday we called back and they called him in some Albuterol. I didn't give him any last night because it was late and I didn't want him to be up(it says it can cause wakefullness). I did give it to him this morning (it didn't seem to affect him as far as his sleep, he took an hour and 15 min nap) and I was just curious if anyone has every had a similar situtation and did the albuterol help, did it hae any affect on your childs sleep? I'm really not big on giving meds for a cold but the wheezing bothered me. I have done some research and know that it is commonly used for asthma.

We are due March 27 with our first...but here enlies our problem...my husband was excepted to be a idaho state patrol officer and will graduate from the Academy on March 23 ( which means i only see him on the weekends due to training) We have a 2 week break when he graduates to get moved, and have the baby)He is also a marine corp reservist...So he was supposed to be excused from drill (once a month) for Jan-Mar because of the Academy. Now they are requiring him to be at drill along with the yearly training which will require him to go out to the field March 24-31 (he would be about an hour away at the least) So im freeking out wondering who is going to take me to the hospital (in-laws are out of the question...and my family is to far away) I would really like to have her naturally...so my question is should i chance it and just wait for when she comes and then just wait for my hubby to come in from the field or should i see about getting induced early like right before he graduates??

I was breastfeeding for the 1st weeks of my baby girl's life, but have now went back to work and have had to supplement formula as well as breastfeeding at night and trying to pump during the day at work. My mother in law watches her during the day and feeds her Goodstart w/Iron DHA ARA. I tried her on Enfamil w/Iron at first, but she would just scream and scream it seemed like in pain. Then her pediatrician put her on Enfamil for fussiness and gas and my baby would not take that. As of Thanksgiving, I tried Goodstart because I heard of the comfort proteins in it that make it easier on babies tummies because it has already broke down the proteins. Well, everyday, around 3p.m., she goes into a screaming fit for about an hour. My mother in law thinks it's because of the Iron in the formula. She thinks that because she drinks the formula all day, it is too hard on her tummy by mid-day. Any formula's out there w/no iron or low iron? Did you run into this problem w/belly aches from iron?

Hi
my daughter is 8 months old.I started giving her rice pudding when she was 6months.I mean when i started weaning.I tried lots of foods like fruit pots,fruits,custard,biscuits,...canned foods...etc etc.But she didnt like any of them. She only likes RICE PUDDING.So,stil i am continuing that. But she got older now.In the jar rice pudding-it is written that it is the food of stage one and will start from 4 months. But according to the jar,my baby is in stage 2 or 3 now. These stages contains lots of foods like custard,cereals...etc etc.But my baby doesnt like them at all.I tried most of them. Can I continue with rice pudding stil?Or what can i give her in the morning instead of rice pudding? She doesnt like yougarts or fruit pots at all.

The baby's last name is 8 letters long, so I am looking for something relatively short. Also, the last name starts with an "L".
