Question Details: You have got to be kidding me!!! You are actually thinking about foisting these names upon a HUMAN BEING?! Those are the most ridiculous names I've ever heard! Do you just sit around all day thinking of the most ridiculous words that come to mind, or is there a Book of Silly Urban Names? Try: Subliminal, Constitutional, Restitution, Felony (that would be a BEAUTIFUL and APPROPRIATE name for a child of yours...), Incarceration (another good one), or Antiperspirant. All of these names would sound better than your crazy suggestions, plus, they'd be a perfect fit for your gangsta-to-be....

Personally, I dislike Essential, and I don't have any particular feelings about Yimeria, although I do think it sounds "ethnic." I assume these are for a girl.

I do understand the desire to give your child an original name. I myself have a name that was extremely popular when I was born, and could've lived without four other girls responding when the teacher called our name. Even so....there's a whole realm of names that fall between "no one else has it" and "everyone else has it." Whether you go with a popular name or a unique name or anything in between, I think all parents should do their kids a favor: think of how the name is likely to be treated by other kids. Meaning: what are the likely nicknames, and what are the likely taunts. "Essential" is just begging for other kids to pick on you, and make no mistake, they will -- amazing how mean kids can be! (Personally, I also think that if a parent is going to give a child an unusual first name, they should give that child a more common middle name, so as the child gets older s/he can choose the more common name if s/he really hates the uncommon one.)

I know, I know. More than you asked for....sorry.

I like Yimeria but not really Essential, if you do choose to name your baby something very original like Yimeria, you may want to go with something more common as a middle name to balance it out a little bit, like Yimeria Nicole or Yimeria Lauren, you know. Congrats on the new baby though. Good Luck

You asked for our opinion, so I am going to tell you....

Essential is TERRIBLE. Just awful, and I am a fan of unusual names, that one is just soooo bad. It's a word that just doesn't fit as a name AT ALL.

Yimeria is nice, but sounds ethnic, which you said you didn't want. I like Imeria better. Or what about Irja (pronouced Ir- ee- a)? It's Estonian. It's a little prettier than Yimeria.

You've got the right idea, about finding unique names for your child, but I'm sorry to say, but I agree with the majority of the people who have answered...they aren't the greatest. Yimeria is pretty, but sounds very ethnic, which isn't always a bad thing.

Essential doesn't sound like a name but a vitamin or something.....the first word that popped in my head when i read it was Eccentric not a nice name....

Yimeria sounds very middle eastern....

This is a joke, right? Well, now that I think of some of the hilarious names I've heard before, I guess it's not a joke. It's still funny, though.
