Sorry but I am going to have to give you a taste of some of your answers that you give everyone else. DO SOME RESEARCH speak with your doctor, go to a book store, and while you are looking for a book on that try finding a book about dealing with anger issues you have because some of the answers you give people are completely uncalled for. if you don't like a question someone posts then don't answer it plain and simple, stop trying to put someone else down in attempts to making yourself feel better. i am in total agreement on one of the answers you gave that we are all here to help each other and I have no problem doing that, but you take some of your crude answers to a level it doesn't have to be taken to. Calling someone a moron is just ridiculous!!! Does it really make you feel like yo have helped someone by putting them down PEOPLE COME ON YAHOO ANSWERS FOR THE SAME REASON YOU ARE ON HERE. TO GET ANSWERS some questions that you consider to be annoying and over asked is something that you can avoid entirely by NOT clicking on the question. It is making YOU look like a bitter women who has to be a smart as* when answering. My goodness we all have the right to ask whatever question we would like, that doesn't make us morons because we would like to get advice, opinions, or suggestions on things. You are no better than anyone else on here, you breathe the same air that we all breathe, and you eat, sleep, and go to the bathroom like the rest of us, so what the hell has made you think that you can give someone bitter advice about something that they are looking for opinions on. Some of the people on here haven't been pregnant before so they don't know what to look for. and I don't know if you and your husband actually tried to conceive but if you did then you understand how frustrating the whole experience can be, so the next time you see a question that you don't have a positive or helpful response to give please do us all a favor and move on to another question seriously.

I read the following books:
"Your Baby's First Year, Week by Week" by Dr. Glade B. Curtis.
I thought this book was very informative without being boring.
"The Girlfriend's Guide to Surviving the First Year of Motherhood" by Vicki Iovine.
This book talks about things that other books don't. It's funny and includes daddy's point of view.
I hear the following book had great reviews and was very funny.
"Baby Laughs: The Naked Truth About the First Year of Mommyhood" by Jenny McCarthy.
Listen to your pediatrician's advice, trust your instincts and everything will be fine. This is what I have learned from my own personal experience. Best wishes for a happy and healthy baby.

I loved What to Expect When You're Expecting so naturally bought What to Expect the First Year. I find it works best for reference only...in other words don't sit and read it cover to cover. It only gave me more worries to be honest with you!
The hospital sent a great book home with us...it's called Heading Home with Your Newborn: From Birth to Reality. It is written by pediatricians who are also mothers. It has a lot of good info, with a sense of humor. I really liked it.
Just be careful not to rely too much on these...all babies are soooo different! I learned the hard way...I was on total sleep deprivation and looking for answers everywhere. You can't find answers per se from these, just info and support to help you find your own answer. Most importantly have confidence and trust your gut. Congratulations!

Definetly "What to Expect The First Year" It is made by the same people who wrote "What to Expect when you are Expecting." This book is amazing and it goes through everything. It talks about getting ready for the baby, buying for the baby, bottle feeding vs. breast feeding. How to breast feed, Bringing home your baby....newborn baby, and then it goes month by month telling you what you can expect from yourself and what you can expect from your baby...it even breaks it down into categories like what you baby should be able to do, what it probably will do and may possibly due. It also has a lot of answers to those new mother questions that we always have. This book isn't meant to read cover to cover per say but it has a lot of helpful information in it. I can say that it is almost like my bible. It has really helped me through these first few months.
Hope this helps and good luck!

I know this is going to cause a commotion, but I liked the babywise book. I found it informative and more entertaining than most. I got it from the library cuz I'd heard so much (both sides) about it, but I did like it. I'm in the same boat as you, 35 weeks right now... good luck.

There is the "What to Expect" series....
They have books for the first year, called "What to Expect in the First Year" and one for the second year as well. I used the first one with my kids, and have seen the second. I have 6 kids, and their approach was very helpful. Not dry reading, either!

Belly Laughs and Baby Laughs by Jenny McCarthy
I found The Girlfriends Guide To Pregnancy to be very outdated and boring.
