I have never had any allergies to shrimps / prawns. I am presently nursing my two-month old baby.

There are no specific foods that you need to avoid while nursing. If you like shrimp, go right ahead!

my daughter is seven months old. I eat shrimp and crab legs regularly and she hasn't had a problem. I have read that babies are more sensitive to things like dairy and gassy veggies like broccoli and cabbages in the first few months of nursing. I know my daughter would get an upset stomach when I would drink milk for like the first four months. I would just try it in moderation and if he/she seems okay then continue on with your eating habit. Most breastfeeding books give you a list of the foods to be aware of that can make for a fussy baby.

I wouldn't eat them while nursing. Although you aren't allergic to them it doesn't mean that your baby wouldn't be. A friend of mine drank OJ everyday & her baby had a severe allergy to it; took awhile to find out what the problem was.
