I was just wondering which one you personally though was better for your baby....please share any experiences....

I read that Similac has 50%more calcium absorbtion than Enfamil.....does that make it better for the baby?

thanks for sharing

I have no clue about the calcium absorption thing you mentioned, but I tend to like Enfamil better. It just seems to be better tolerated by most babies. When I worked in daycare, all the babies that received formula were fed an Enfamil formula. My boys pediatrician highly recommended Enfamil Lipil as did the hospital where I had the boys. Enfamil even makes a great soy formula.
My kids had more problems with the Similac (gas and constipation) which we tried when I stopped breastfeeding. When we found the Enfamil Lipil, those problems went away.

The store brand formulas have gotten to be just as good and the name brands and they cost a lot less. You can compare the vitamins and minerals.....and since formula is regulated by the FDA the store brands have to meet standards, especially if they say that they are comparable to any of the name brand formulas.
