use a pillow with 'U' shape and lie her head over it when she sleeps... she will then hold her head straight...

My daughter did this as well. I hardly noticed it was causing her had to be misshapen until a doctor checked her out and pointed out the Plagiocephaly(flat spot). As it turns out, either when my daughter was in utero or when she was being delivered a muscle in her neck was slightly damaged causing her to have torticollis.
My little girl wore a Cranial Cap for about 6 months to correct her head shape, and with some stretching exercise the doctor recommended we were able to correct the torticollis.

The earlier you catch this the better. Definitly have a doctor check her out. Mention that your concerned about Plagiocephaly and Torticollis. I have talked to other parents who had the same problem and decided it would work itself out and it didn't and they regret not being more on top of it. The condition can cause a noticable flat spot on one side and a protruded cheek on the other. It can also cause orthodontal problems as the teeth and jaw grow.

She probably had a tendency in the womb to rest that way, and still does it now out of habit. I wouldn't worry about it if she can move her head in both directions. If you are very concerned, I would contact her pediatrician. Just to give you an example though, I still sleep with my hands curled under at night. I've asked my doctor as an adult, and she said it was the way I slept in the womb, and my body is just comfortable that way. I'm 29, and I still do it, and I only do it when I sleep. Just one of those things I suppose. Good luck! :)

It normal they are supposed to do it. If u look in ur health care centre book there is a place in the development section where the doctor has to report wich side is preffered!
