Louisa? My husband's grandmother's name is Louise and I'm trying to soften it for a little girl. Any other variations on the name would be appreciated!

Thanks so much.

I have started making my own baby puree food for my 5 month old daughter. The banana I made turns like a brown black colour but i Still fed it to her and she loved it. Is this ok or just the colour?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I just read someone's post who lets their baby play for a bit without a diaper on. My son LOVES it when I take his pampers off, but it's never off more than a minute b/c I don't want him to pee everywhere (he's 6 mo old). But I wonder if it wouldn't be good to it air it out a bit down there!

I have the Einstein play seat, a bouncy chair, toys and a swing but she gets bored quickly with each one. I am really concerned about spoiling her by holding her too much. Also, I am a work from home single mom so I need to be able to have her entertained while I work sometimes. Thanks for any reccomendations.

I was feeding my 10 mo old his peas and then I gave him some pasta that he was using his fingers to eat and my MIL started in on me that he needs a bowl. Why dosent he have a bowl and I said because he just drops it all out on the floor. Then she goes thats because you dont teach him and shes shakin her head. Please tell me I am not the only one who lets their 10 month old finger feed straight off the high chair tray? If I am not here in the next few days its because I am in jail for murder.

My Grandmother just left from her unannounced week long visit, and I am finding little pills all over the house. I have a seven month old son in that phase where he picks up tiny thing between two fingers and puts them in his mouth. I have vacumed and cleaned and searched with a flashlight, and I even found two tiny pills on my son's play mat - and I'm a nurse. I know if he had swallowed those pills, he might have died.
I am livid. I don't want to allow my grandmother in my house again for such blunt carelessness - what should I say to her and how?

My 7 week old baby girl is awake all day and asleep at night. When she is awake during the day all she wants to do is eat. I feed her about 4 ozs. every hour and a half. Then she cries all the time, unless she is eating. We are not heavy parents, infact we are healty and average, but it seems like she eats a lot, is she really that hungry?

Hi,

I am currently in week 5 of my second pregnancy and is having light period now. I visited my gynae yesterday and he gave me a hormonal injection and allylestrenol turinal (3 pills a day)which is to continue for 2 weeks. He instructed me to stop breastfeeding cold turkey.

i like to enquiry if i could carry on breastfeeding my 8 month baby boy throughtout this period. or even if i shouldn't, could i feed my son the expressed milk? (so that i would not have painful engorgement). I really love breastfeeding my son, and i cant stand to see him crying so badly, missing my milk. Even if i have to stop, i like to do it gradually.

Please reply... I desperately looking for help now.

i recently went back to work and i'm pumping. my workplace is very cool with letting me take the time to pump 3 times a day. they also are good with offering me private places where i can pump. i was wondering, are they required by law to accomodate a working mother who wants to pump, or am i just lucky? are other moms out there having similar experiences in the workplace or does their work frown upon taking the time to pump?

Hello, after my previous question, I am now wondering if organic fruit and vege puree is more natural than formula? Someone in my last question arose the issue that feeding solids too early may increase the risk of obesity and allergies, but isnt this the fact with feeding formula to babies? isnt fruit and veges more natural? how can they cause allergies if given too early? My daugher is 4 1/2 months and has given me all the signals that she is ready for solids, I only feed after she finishes her milk, and I usually only give her a taste. But someone said this can increase risk of allergies if done before 6 months. But is there really any set time when to start your baby on solids? my baby was giving me all the signs thats she ready. I would love to hear everyones opinion on this.
