I am not pregnant but am adopting an infant and would like to breast feed. I have had a full term pregnancy and have lactated before...about 10 years ago

yes There are pills that are prescribed by a doctor. I read about it a magazine about 5 years ago. Talk to your doctor. Check about side effects before use, and consider the risk. I would imagine one of the side effects is reduced menstrual cycle, breast tenderness, etc.

I think i seen on TV before women could take a certain pill that makes you lactate. You prolly have to go to a doctor to get it.......

Placing gentle suction on the breast over a long period should create breast milk.

The mother should get the Vitamin D, calcium and magnesium she needs, regularly.
