Anything that encourages milk production is called a galactagogue.

Here is some info on herbal, food, and prescription galactagogues there are TONNES)...
http://www.kellymom.com/herbal/milksupply/herbal_galactagogue.html
"There are several prescription drugs that have been used to increase milk supply: Metoclopramide (Reglan), Domperidone (Motilium), and sulpiride (Eglonyl, Dolmatil, Sulpitil, Sulparex, Equemote). "

I would start with the herbal options first.

Also you need to seriously assess whether your supply is really low, because oversupply can cause problems for the baby. Like poor weight gain and upset stomach. If your baby is gaining appropriately and making enough wet diapers you have enough milk. Even if your baby is "cluster feeding", sucking all the time (on you or their hands), or "acting hungry"

This is an herbal supplement that worked wonders for me...I am off it now and still doing okay:

More Milk Plus (from Motherlove Herbal Co.)

It is available at Whole Foods.

I understand what you're going through if you have a low supply. Don't give up. Good luck.

Domperidone is another option, but I don't think it's very easy to get. Fenugreek is a good herbal option.

In the Philippines, we serve chicken-papaya soup to a mother who gives birth. It's natural. It's effective. It's proven. It's our tradition.
