humidifier definitelly. The cough is from cold , right? (Not like she chokes on hef food?). There is little trick my mom taught me - take a cloth, slice few slices of butter on it and heat it up in the microwave. Then put it on your childs chest (touch it first, be VERY careful not to make it too hot!!!) - with this little baby it's better when she goes to sleep so she wont take it away - put peace of plastic over it and maybe another like small handtowel and tuck it under tight shirt so it won't move. It should cover her whole chest. You can leave it on as long as she lets you (preferably over night or nap at least). Takes away the pain and loosens the cough.

I'm so sorry that your baby is suffering! Don't you wish you could take it from her! I have a 9 month old who just got over a very bad cough and cold. She was miserable. Well the puking could be from the medicine. If it is not helping, maybe stop giving it to her. (your choice) Well did you ask her doc about asthma? As far as the puking, if she does not want to eat baby food, don't bother. Just give her breast, juice or formula. Keep a humidifier in her room or next to her crib, it will help keep the air moist. Try bringing her into the shower filled with steam. It helps expel the mucus in her throat. Do it as long as you both can stand it and up to 4 times a day. I wish you luck, hope she feels better soon. Just spoil her in the mean time, hold her as much as possible. Poor baby, good luck!

Wow, the DR didn't give you anything to help? If this went on for more then 3 days I would find another doctor.
Also, try a humidifier that can diffuse Vicks Vapor Rub and let her have plenty of cold or frozen washcloths to make her feel better. Maybe give her a few warm baths a day (without soap) and some nice massages and patting on her back to loosed the congestion.

Maybe she's got allergies to something in the air ? Is the air really dry in your house ? You can try running a cool mist humidifier while she's sleeping to help her breathing. Not sure what else to say except hope it passes soon.,

Is it only happening when eating?
Are you trying to give her lumpy foods? They would make my daughter gag and choke as if she were going to vomit, so I laid off the lumpy things for a while. It was actually almost her birthday before she would accept lumpy things without this reaction.
Try going back to pureed foods- they will be less likely to catch in her throat and make her gag.

I would definitly get a second opinion! Try to keep her cool. Sometimes if you are over warm, and have a cough, it makes it worse. I reaaly don't know what else to suggest.
good luck
