This guy and I used to like each other. Then he said we'd be better as friends. Then he liked another girl. He always talked to me about her. Then I started liking this guy. Whenever I talk about him he says "but we're closer and more comfortable with each other..." Why does he say stuff like that? I know for sure he doesn't like me like that anymore, but is he just being a protective guy friend? We have gotten really close as friends.

This year my class is doing secret santa and I have to buy a present for my crush. I am so happy right now! What I need to know though is what should I buy him and what little can I do to make it special (like write "from your secret admirer" on the card or something)?

We live in a pretty upscale neighborhood but the house across the street from us i think is running a drug thing. They always have vans and police over there. They always have people that dont look very nice over there constantly. This one man went up to my son and niece and asked them for 50 dollars and said that if they wanted they could come "have fun" with him. Luckily my 19 year old neighbor was walking along and came up to him and he left. I called the police but they dont seem to be doing anything. I dont know what else to do?

and I think that its starting to creep my parents out a bit.

A friend of mine makes her 13 yo daughter wear a bodysuit, that undergarment that covers all your torso, back and nd breasts and clips at your crotch. The girls hates that thing, says it's uncomfortable, makes her sweat and none of her friends wear thst thing. But my friend, her mom , says it's for her best, thinks it's god for her body and especially for modesty. She says if most moms were like her, there wouldnt be so many cases of teen pregnancy. She doesnt back off, her girl tried to rebel but got punished, grounded and had to give in. I dont agree w/ my friend though I know she's sure its for her girl best. I'd like to know if this can be considered child abuse. I don't think it is, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I don't think it'd be a good idea for the girl to report her mom and I dont think she would, after all shes her mom , but Id like to know if this is illegal

i'm a 17 yr old girl. i've never had a good relationship with my step-brother. there wasn't any bullying or stuff but he's always been cold to me and i've kept my distance. he's 19 and all my life i've wanted acceptance. last yr he molested me and since then he's only gotten bolder with his moves. recently he was home from the uni. one day i was at home and he was there with some of his friends. they raped me...i was used like crap. i was too scared to tell mom n dad. today i found out i'm pregnant...please tell me what to do...i'm a mess......i can't ask anyone about anything in this situation...please help me...

ok, so im 17, girlfriend is 15 almost 16, and I got her pregnant. neither one of us is freaking out, and we ARE gonna have the child, heck, we even have a name picked out! my question is; how can i support my soon to be family? im certified as a welder, but im not sure that will matter much without a college diploma. i am going to graduate highschool about a month before she is due. so, if you have any REAL advise, i'd really appreciate it!!!

To keep this simple and short, I'll outline everything. Basically today just sucked big time for me and my family only made it about ten times better (sarcasm). I guess it all started with me asking my mom if I could go to the movies with my friends tomorrow and her saying no. I'm not the type of kid that whines and says "please?", but I was just asking her why she wouldn't let me go, but she wouldn't answer. Then my sister who was sitting there buds in and tells me to "stop while I'm ahead" and just leave, but she was annoying and I was on the edge of tears so I got even more mad and told her to shut up, and she yelled at me. Then my other sister was just being the normal evil person to me that she always is, and I couldn't take it anymore and started crying. So I've been crying for an hour now, trying to get my mom's attention so we can actually talk, but she won't. She's ignoring me and just talking on the phone and not listening to me. I'm kinda depressed and I want to tell my parents but I dont know how and I dont know how they'd react. I've told them before and they played it off like a joke like "oh haha thats funny hun"
My parents are the kind of people who like to pretend everything is fine and they are very affectionate. I'm just really unhappy, but I dont know how to tell them. I think if I tell them, I'll be letting them down so I go through everyday wearing a fake smile. They're really worried about my brother and his college and I'm kinda getting forgotton. I have an extremly badhabbit in witch when I am nervouse I chew the skin off my lip, and it bugs me cause its not pretty and it really hurts, but I havent found a way to stop it nor have a found a way to make the damage go aay faster then it does normally, I use special lipgloss to moisten and stuff but Idk it just sucks, cause even if it hurts I still chew it open and make it bleed more, I know its really weird and really extremly gross but do you have any advise on how to stop it?

On behalf of my new contact shelly s, I bring this question to you.

Shelly has an unnamed condition in which she bleeds quite heavily and for long periods of time - almost to death - because the lining in her uterus is too thin. She would have a hard time getting pregnant because the embryos can't implant properly, causing her to miscarry. At 16, she was told that she might never get pregnant, but if she ever planned on doing so, she would have to start as soon as possible. She had her first child at 17 (due to medical reasons, she said) and she is now 22, married with two kids, and she went in for her hysterectomy two days ago. Most people in her situation would have to have this done when they're in their 20's, or perhaps even ealy 30's.

My question is, if your child were in the situation as described above, told she needs to get pregnant now or never, would you go for it? Or would you tell her to get her life in order, then consider adoption if it'll be too late?
