I blocked one because she was emailing me a lot and accusing me of lying. That's all. I've also just been blocked by another user because she apparently didn't like my opinions. It makes me laugh, quite honestly - why ask if you don't want to hear other opinions? So, tell all.

wolfkarew, they probably blocked you because you're a liar, rather than them not liking your answers:http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlEVjXXVwB5OWXAfZ_eYX68hBgx.;_ylv=3?qid=20071129113326AAXGaQ6&show=7#profile-info-IZYVsKsoaa

I block idiots. If someone has terrible grammar and poor spelling, I might block them so I don't have to decipher their answers the next time I ask a question. I also block people who are rude. Of course that makes me a hypocrite, but que sera sera. ;)
I've been blocked by people who asked for opinions but didn't like mine, by little girls who lie and didn't like it when I called them on it, and by people whose spelling and grammar I've attacked.
It's okay though - there are enough people on here who have similar points of view to mine that I don't feel the whole world is against me. ;D

I completely understand where ur coming from. Trust me never hesitate to block some one. Think safety first so to speak lol. I'm on a dating website and I have to block guys all the time because of what they ask and such. I made a joke to some one and he took it as an offense. He called me every word in the book. I to laughed it off and then blocked him. On the news their was a 13 old girl that was chatting w/ her "best friend" who one day said she didn't want to be friends w/ her because she heard that she is mean to her friends. The poor dear took it to heart and committed suicide. only to fine out it was the mother of the friend she was really chatting w/ that said this. And what sickens me is that the mother is not getting charged w/ any of this!

The thumbs down fairy...lol...I like that. Well, I've never had to block anyone here on yahoo answers but I have blocked a couple of people on Ebay. There was a guy with a negative 2 feedback who continued to bid on my items so I blocked Mr. deadbeat loser. Also an Ebayer with the user name (I'm not kidding) Sneakychic who I KNOW received my item but claimed she never got it.

I haven't blocked anyone unless they block me so I know not to try and answer their question.
Remember Joan R? She made me a friend then a couple of weeks later blocked me. Guess she didn't like me telling her to go easy on her DIL. The other one i have no idea. Guess I said something to her when I was in a bad mood LOL. I NEVER email people though. That is just wrong. Mind you I block all emails and things as I don't need people abusing me. I give opinions,...not abuse. Some people just don't want to hear something that opposes their view. I blocked my questions though because I once had a person who didn't like my view go into a question I asked and abuse me.

Yes, I have blocked a few haters and/or stalkers because they were causing me disgust. My daddy won't permit me to have my e-mail account turned on which is good so I don't get these e-mails everyone talks about. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my daddy. It's just Yahoo Answers and not worth taking too seriously.
Thank you and good day,

I have not blocked anyone and will not in the future; even if someone is insulting or threatening (no one has ever been though). I do not condemn people who choose to block others. If someone emails me with threats or insults, I will find it amusing and go back and forth with them, until they tire, just for kicks and giggles. It is not a big deal to me; that is just me though.
Emily's situation DEFINITELY was the right situation in which to block someone.

Yes, I've blocked a couple of sexist men, because the things they write make me feel sick, and the little red symbol warns me not to read their posts or questions. (They haven't emailed me.)
I believe most of their posts are intended precisely to provoke this kind of response, not sincerely to seek and share information, so they are wasting my time and energy.
(As far as I know, no one has ever blocked me: I have plenty of really good contacts and we get on really well.)

I've blocked I think 3 men because they were all old perverted guys and I didn't want to take any chances so I stopped talking to them immediately.
