We live in a pretty upscale neighborhood but the house across the street from us i think is running a drug thing. They always have vans and police over there. They always have people that dont look very nice over there constantly. This one man went up to my son and niece and asked them for 50 dollars and said that if they wanted they could come "have fun" with him. Luckily my 19 year old neighbor was walking along and came up to him and he left. I called the police but they dont seem to be doing anything. I dont know what else to do?

Yeah, they dont seem like nice people, I would watch them carefully. If that man comes near your son again, call the cops, and keep calling them until they do something about it. If they don't maybe you should think about selling your house and move to a better neighborhood. I know if would be a pain to move, but it's better then something happening to your son. I wish you luck.

Well, I guess drug lords can afford houses like that, huh? I guess you could file a civil suit against them, but I wouldn't want to be identified as the person suing very dangerous people.

Call the police station again, and make sure you talk to the person in charge. Tell them your problem, and ask if there's anything you can do to make these guys leave the neighborhood or better yet, to put them in jail.

If that doesn't work, contact the press. I don't know if they'll take on the bad guys, but if they will, they could seriously change your landscape.

I would feel so unsafe, even in my own house. And the kids!! They have to be monitored constantly!

You have your choice--you can find a way to fight them, or you can buy a new house.

Make sure your children know not to talk to anyone they don't know and keep your eye on them at all times. I hate to say this.. but usually when the established "drug house" shows up on your street it's time to put up a for sale sign. Even though it may be hard for you to imagine moving (especially from such an expensive house), just think about the safety of the children. It would be better to try to sell now than after more dopeheads move into the area. Good luck and God bless you.

Move.. as soon as possible. If the police aren't doing anything than it is time to leave. Before they start to figure out how to eventually steal from your house. Don't live your life in patterns. Make sure you keep an eye on your children and don't let them out of your sight near this house. Make sure you inform the police everytime that something like this happens. Even if they don't do anything at least document that you called. If you ever find yourself in court you can at least say that you tried. Good luck.

Are they renting? You could call their landlord and complain. Otherwise, it looks like the police don't have enough evidence to do anything or they probably would. You might want to just keep them updated and call them every time there's a problem. (The squeaky wheel gets the grease sort of thing.)

Unfortunately the only surefire cure for annoying neighbors is to move, but that's usually not a very desirable option. Warn your kids and keep a good eye on them. Good luck.
