Adolescent - October 2007

I am not a parent, but I have a sister and brother who are in their teens.
It seems that young teenagers are only concerned about having a boyfriend and whether or not they should have sex at the age from 13 - 16 yrs old. Seems to be more so than when I was in highschool which was 10 years ago.
Teenagers should concentrate more on getting an education and not who they should hook up with this week.
Please if you could give advice to young teenagers today do so.

i have 3 sons. my two oldest (10 and 13) share a room. one morning after my 13 year left for school, my 10 year old told my that my other son took off his clothes and started touching his penis and it got really big.now i understood that he was masturbating. when i checked on them the other night, my 13 year old was naked. the only reason i found out was because his covers fell off of him. what should i do.

I saw a video in 1996 or 1997 when I was in high school that showed a woman having a baby (must have been a natural birth) and it scared the heck out of me and I would like for my niece to see this video because I think she is having sex and wanting a baby. Please help me find a video that shows everything with out blurring because she needs to see how painful and mutilating this experience can be.

I'm 17, she's 24. When she was 14, she made mistakes, joined bad crowds, lied, was mean to me. Our parents ended up giving her a harsh punishment, though she apologized and promised to change. She got devastated because they said she had lost their trust and their trust was very important to her. I remember this broke her spirit, she suffred a lot but my parents were firm and it took months for them to trust her again. She changed, ended up being a great sister, made our parents proud but never made up w/ them, even today she thinks they were cruel, unforgiving, broke her spirit, didn't act as loving parents. Their attempts to make up with her didn't work. Today she's graduated, has a good job, still a great sister but hasn't talked with our parents for more than 2 years. She's about to get married and her in laws love her. Unfortunately mom is dying and wants to see her but she refuses, says it'll be kinda painful for both. I begged but she refused, see no point in this.

I am currently working at a contract job. My 15 year old daughter just came to live with me. We were both living with my parents. She lived with her Dad from age 10 to 15.

She is routintely throwing tantrums in the morning and blaming me for her "failings" in school, etc.

I then come to work late and can not concentrate or really produce at work. I work as an Accountant.

I am thinking of quitting for some time and then taking up a job again after she gets through the transition.

My parents want my daughter to stay with them for some time and I do not want that. That is not the solution. I have to explain that to them. They just make things worse and in fact pushed me to move out and now say that they did not.

I have a friend and he's 25 years old. Well he stupidly had sex with a 16 year old 2 1/2 months ago....she had her period a week later and now she is pregnant. I told him the baby probably isn't his. Well her mother told him that her daughter ovulates 24/7. How stupid is that? And he believed her. Plus the 16 year old told him she doesn't want to date him anymore...wouldn't you think if he was the father she'd want to be with him? I think her mother just told him that crap because she knows she's stuck with her daughter until legal age and that my friend is 25...has his own house and car and wants him to take care of her. What do you think?

I am 15 yrs old and i go to an all girls school. i dont go to parties or anything so i never see any guys, even as friends. atm all my friends have started to go out with guys and such but i dont see the appeal. Had a phone call from school that my daughter and her friends have been in Asda before school and they have been spraying themselves with the de-oderants so now all children with school uniforms can't go in there at all. Asda have involved the police which have spoken to the school to see if they could identify the girls they had caught on camera, one of them was my girl I'm motified I ground her and do all the normal consquences but she never learns any ideas.

I am Indian girl and I am being brought up in US. My relatives and my parents friends keep on foring me to marry. My parents tell them not to do that but they still do. They keep telling my parents how they should force this "generations indian girls" to marry. I am getting sick of this. My Mom had been so mean lately, Im in High School, so if thats not enough, I have enough stress without her pointing out every single thing I do wrong! I have so much homework, and karate two days a week, plus church three days a week, and then a part time job, Im a god kid and dont get detentions or in trouble, except with her. I dont get why she is so mad at me, she says I dont do anything to out around the house with, but Im busy and I try to help out whenever I can/have the energy to. She threatens to take away some of my activites, but I mean its not like Im out smoking or doing drugs or beating up little kids Im at CHURCH! My son just called to tell me he stole a notebook from the school store. His friend yelled - better check him, he stole something. My son knows the person running the store (16 year old). He gave it back and she said it was ok. He know fears that someone who was there will tell on him (he saw her talking to the asst. principal right after the event). My parents always tell me not to talk to people I don't know on the computer, but I don't have any REAL life friends becouse my parents don't let me go annywere. and I met two girls around my age (in our early teens) and I like them. we met on a fan website for a book. The person who made the website was the person who wrote the book. It is a teen book. And on the fan fictions page you can talk. and I met them and now we IM. I know it is a bad idea to meet your internet friends. and I don't give out personal information. The only things I give out are what City I live in, my age and my first name. Thats it.

Sunday Sept. 30th, My friend Kerri lost her life. She was only 16 years old. Im going to the veiwing/visitation today. I have meet her mom a couple of times, but didnt know her very well. I cant even imagine what this must be like for her parents. When I see them tonight, I have no idea what to say. I imagine that there is no words that can make them fell better at this time. I'm freaking out! I've got 4 weeks of school left forever! My classes finish in 4 weeks then I have study leave until my exams on the 23rd November-28th November. It's my 18th birthday on the 22nd November. I feel like my childhood is coming to an end!

Next year I'm going to move out of home, to a new city where I don't really know very many people (I know about 5 people that live there that are my age).

I don't feel old enough to leave school! When I was younger I couldn't wait, but now I know that University isn't going to be easy and everything is changing. I'm excited about it, but scared at the same time!

How am I going to adjust to this? I've been going to school for the last 13 years and it'll all be over in 4 weeks!
