you did the right thing. i used to cut and i got caught. My best friend, who is also a cutter, refused to stop cutting when i told her how i felt. Plus, i knew that she was feeling suicidal, so i told the school nurse and my best friend wouldn't talk to me for 10 days. But we made up and now it's like nothing happened. Your friend will realize that you did it out of love, not to hurt her.

I think that you did the right thing and you shouldn't feel bad about it. She may be upset with you if and when she finds out you told on her but one day she will get over it and thank you for trying to help her. Your friend needs help. If she's cutting herself, there has to be a reason for it. Most people who cut themselves are missing something and are looking for attention. I'm not saying that they just want people to pay attention to them (self centered) but they're looking for attention from someone inparticular (a parent, loved one, etc....) Good luck to you and to your friend. I hope that she can stop doing this and can figure out exactly what is going on with her, deal with it in her own way, and move on.

You did the right thing sweetheart, you are a good friend to be concerned and she will need your support now more than ever! Cutting is a serious sign of mental problems like depression and low self esteem. Just be there for her now. Good luck.

Get her help! she might hate you for a little bit but once she realizes what she is doing she'll tahnk you! I had a friend do that exact thing and I use to talk to her about stuff to get it off her mind rather than having her cut herself! All I can say is just help her out in ANY WAY POSSIBLE! I had another friend almost kill herself and I know how bad it hurts to see that happen to a friend! Just help her out in anyway! she just needs someone to talk to!

you absolutely did the right thing. you don't want your friend hurting herself, trust me. and this could eventually lead to suicide, and trust me, you don't want that. i had a friend commit suicide and i wish he would've came and talked to me or just somebody about it. even if your friend finds out it was you, she'll thank you when it's all done and over with. you chose the difference between life and death for her, and you pretty much saved her. there really isn't any ways you can "help" her. maybe try calling her more often to see how she is and see if she wants to hang out. this will take up some of her time. even if you don't feel like you did the right thing, trust me, you did.

No, I continually circulate to the hairdresser. that would not continually assure a reliable result nevertheless, a actuality to which i will attest after a haircut I had 2 days in the past. i'm not too pleased with the haircut i've got have been given, and that i can not wait until eventually it grows back.

There is not really anything you can do other then tell someone with authority. It is hard to get someone to stop on their own. It is a very complicated illness and generally is not stopped when people start worring. They just change where they cut and hide it more. In this case, be a tattle tale.
