my daughter is conquering my fear of the dark!

for many logical reasons- i am terrified of the dark meaning--- no shadows on the wall
---- no doors ajar or blinds open into darkness
------ must have nightlight at least or full light on to sleep
-----had night terrors nightly for at least 10 years

i wont go into a dark room to reach around for a light switch


BUT--- my baby girl has no fear of darkness nor does she have a reason
so when she walks into a dark place or shuts the tv in middle of the night.
i laugh and play with her
and realise-- i am in complete darkness
but she is safe
and i have nothing to fear
and it is working out but i just think wow
a 15 month old can help me to not be afraid bc SHE is brave

and that is so amazing to me

and i know that others have stories like that
so please share

We want to incorporate these names into the name of our baby girl...can you help? It can be putting initials together to make a name or anything you can think of...and no it doesn't have to be all the names, it can just be some. So here they are...theres boy and girl names becuase you can use initials or whatever. Please explain how you came up with it.

Yes, she used those big words, we caught it all on tape. Too smart for her own good? Going to be made fun of for being a nerd in school? My husband and I both acheived 4.0's all throughout high school and college, but I thought that was hard work... not genes. She says and does other intelligent things as well, far beyond her age. How do I make sure her brilliance is not ignored in the public schooling system? In my area, public schooling is actually better than private.

Yes, I know...most of you are going to say its a Michael Jackson song. But there is reason behind it. Me and my husband both have Billy's and Williams in our family and my grandmas middle name is Jean so its just kind of fits. My questions is....how does the society react to girls being named things that are more common for a boy? I don't want her to get made fun of or anything. ALSO is there any different ways of spelling either name? Thanks

I tested positive last night with a faint line on a HPT. I plan on retesting tomorrow morning. I'm extremely excited, yet soo scared. What helpful advice do you have?? Tips to make the pregnancy journey a little easier or more pleasant?? Today I felt sooo crappy. Worse than before. I get those episodes were I feel like throwing up or my body temperature rises for roughly a minute or two.

My period is two days late and im starting to stress like mad..I got semen outside on my vulva but i wiped it off but i guess some of it might have still remained there.my period has never been late due to stress but i dont think ive stressed as much in my life.i dont feel pregnant but i feel very nauseaous but i think it s due to worrying. i might get an htp test tomorrow. woulld i get results instantly also through a bloood test?

I had unprotected intercourse with my girlfriend on 21st dec. I did not ejaculate in her, but there may be some pre-***. Her period came on 15th Nov last month, and it did not came at all till 21st dec (the day we had intercourse) Now its 25th december, and its 10days late. Kinda worried, coz my exams are near and I can't focus. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

im so sad. i didnt even get to see if it was a baby boy or baby girl. anyways, a few days ago i got an ultrasound but i didnt even see it or get any pictures..? im 17 and quite confused. can i go back to my doctor and get them? do they still have them? my boyfriend said that they need to keep those things on file and that we could go check in a few days. i really want something ANYTHING to remember him by. i loved him so much. all i do is cry.. :/

Several people have posted on the famous hand in warm water trick whereby submerging a sleeping person's hand in warm water while asleep induces urination. Many people have claimed they have heard of this prank, but I want to know how many people have truly witnessed this in person.

I am also curious to know if anyone has any plausible hypothesis as to how it works. I understand the micturition reflex (urintation reflex) is a spinal reflex with regulation from higher brain centers, but how exactly the warm water would trigger the urination is of interest to me. Do you think the warm water evokes the spinal reflex or causes enough activation such that it overcomes the tonic inhibition from higher brain centers. I'm very curious to see what ideas people propose.

Ok so I just found out I was pregnant by my boyfriend of 1 week. We had hooked up on and off for a long time and then decided to date so we have been together officially for 1 week. I took a pregnancy test and it was positive and then went to the doctor and he confirmed it. My friend just found out she is pregnant today, but a couple days ago she took a half of xanax and now she is really scared that she harmed her baby and is considering aborting the baby. We calculated her to be around 6 weeks along, but her periods are erratic. She is totally surprised as this pregnancy was not planned. I told her not to worry, that more then likely the baby will be fine....but honestly I am not sure if the baby will be fine. Does anyone have any advice that I can give her, that would be positive. she makes fun of me for being short calling me kiddo im 4'10 and shes 5'8, she makes fun of me because i wear tight jeans she says stuff to me like aww a little skater boy. then she says stuff to me like how can you see stuff with hair in your eyes all the time

I'm 32 and we've been trying only since November to conceive. I've now had 2 unsuccessful months. I even tried ovulation strips...although I think Answer brand might suck and will try a new brand this month. Anyway, how many months did it take you to get pregnant and at what age?

i want name my kid (in the future) miguel. some friends and family dissagree saying its a mexican name. other friends and family think its ok because they have friends,aunts, dads, uncles, ecx. that have that name and they are white.
in my opinion, it goes both ways. but what do you guys think? its better off a mexican name, or that it can go both ways?

I was very late this month, and today is my 41st day of the cycle since my last period, but this morning, after 2 weeks of feeling serious pregnancy symptoms, I awoke with my period...and it was full blown for a while. I put my pad on, and nothing really came out after the time i woke up, the only time i have noticed any more bleeding is if i check...ahem...internally, and then i see a ton of blood on the paper...but its bright red, and ive been finding clumps or stringy type red red flesh like stuff...but im still feeling nausea...and my hubby and i are so scared it was a miscarriage...please, if anyone has had anything like this happen, please let me know and help me ease my mind as to what this may be...ive tried calling docs and nobody is in...i need to know....

Our baby has had a rash around her mouth. Tonight, I noticed a similar rash around my nipple and aerola. Last week we took her to the doctor about the rash and the ped. said it wasn't thrush because she didn't have the white patches in her mouth, that it was caused by teething and to give antibiotic cream. We have and it looks better but is not gone. I didn't notice my nipples and aerola until tonight when I was in the bathtub.

I have read online and they said:
-genetian violet- where do I get that?
-it said to put myconizole on my nipples- yet that would be ingested by the baby.

I do not have pain when I am breastfeeding at all. I just noticed the rash on my own nipples tonight. 2 weeks ago on was on a strong antibiotic for a kidney infection that came back after the first treatment failed. I wonder if this caused it.

We are calling the ped. on Wednesday morning. Do I need to see my own doctor as well to get my own meds?

Someone fill me in. I have never had this before

Ok, so my parents are very religious. They are very strong Christians and me not so much. They only let me wear skirts and dresses. I want to wear pants. I think Japan is a cool place but my parents don't let me associate anything Japanese. I want to buy a Wii and I would be buying it with my own money but my parents don't let me have any video games. I can't watch ANY PG-13 or R rated movies. They don't even let me watch Full House. I'm 14 and my parents a WAY to strict and WAY to religious!
