How do we do it?
how do we keep a smile on our face
at work....
act like everything is fine at home...
with the family...
Acting like it is ok, but really we are screaming in side, trying to rip our hair out in frustration....
I think we are amazing....
how we can live day to day...
cleaning...cooking...
even getting crafty for Christmas...
shopping for loved ones, to show how much we care.......
though, they don't even know how we feel inside....our true feelings

the
pain
sadness
and the feeling of drowning in our tears.

We are amazing!
I thought I would just share!

I'm guessing it's a thought that rarely crosses the minds of adopters. There's a new movement afoot for the media to neglect to mention one's adoption status in crime stories.

I was reading David Kirschner's site, while it's a phenonemn I've been well aware of since delving into the study of losses surrounding abandonment and adoption; I don't believe these statistics are even on the radar of the general public. Here's a quote;

"Paul Mones, a defense attorney and expert, who wrote the book When a Child Kills, reports that adoptees are 15 times more likely to commit parricide (kill one or both adoptive parents) than biologic children"

Ok so.. say an average home price in Sydney is in excess of $500,000 and the average home unit is $390,000. The average income in Australia is $50,000 and whilst we all want our children to be above average.. some are never going to make it... that's just how averages work...

So with $50,000 household income your child might manage to service a mortage of $200,000 and if they save really hard they might get themselves a deposit together of ~ $30,000.. (whihc will cover the stamp duty, bank fees and legal expenses... so where on earth will they get the other $300,000 if not from their parents?

So do we charge them rent until such time as they require a mortgage over our property to buy their own.. or do we let them have a good time and blow their money on overseas holidays and night clubbing?

Oh reallly, I didn't know, I never look at my child!!
She is three, she puts them on herself, just like she dresses herself in clothes that don't match. If it doesn't bother her why does it matter what foot the shoe is on?
Am I alone in this reasoning?
Do any other parents of toddlers get this unwanted input?
How do I respond when people make this comment?

On here people seem to have a strong opinion of "let them have their own identity."

If they are identical, noone will be able to tell their own identities anyway unless you know them closely.

Also, I think its very cute. Like:

Blake and Blair
Nathan and Noah
Logan and Lucas
Tanner and Tyler

Aleigha and Alana
Tally and Tessa

ect.

I caught one of this miscarriages early on when I was trying to get pregnant. I just happened to test very early and came back with 2 positive tests. Sure enough, a few days later I started my "period". Now I wonder if I'm having multiple miscarriages. I have a period every month but my cycle is never consistent. Sometimes, I have a 28 day cycle, sometimes 26 day, sometimes 30, etc... Anybody know anything about this?

I have a daughter who absolutely loves Caillou on PBS Kids (she's 2). Before she started watching it she used to be very well-behaved for a 2 year old. I was surprised the first time she told me "no, I don't want to" just like Caillou does. Well, needless to say she's not allowed to watch it anymore. I know for a fact it's that show, she says things and does things just like that stupid little bald kid all the time. I swear, that little brat needs a slap...

Anyway, what do you think? Has Caillou corrupted your little angel too?

As a side note, yes, I am crazy.

It would be confusing if they were both "Dad" or both "Mom" but calling them by their first names would not be affectionate enough.

I am 34 and have two beautiful children 9 and 8 and I recently fell pregnant with my third. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage a few weeks ago.
From the response I got from a male friend of ours was that we are both too old for another child. My husband and I wish to try again. So I just want to know is there anyone around the same age pregnant or trying to concieve?? If so have you recieved any negative comments due to your age or have you had any problems concieving etc.

Who thinks the ban on hugging is a good or bad thing?

Im against it, Im 18 and Im a senior and I hug my friends at school and I find nothing wrong with it?

High school and middle school are tough and sometimes just that hug can help, so I don't think we should take that away.

If you are for the hugging ban, list your reasons.

"They're growing up too quickly."or "I can't believe how much they've changed."
My oldest son just turned 4yrs last weekend and I got the pictures back from his birthday party today. I was putting them in his album and looking at the pictures from his 3rd birthday and from when my youngest was born in May. Even over the last 7ms, his face has changed so much! It's scary.

My son will be 4 months old next week and that is usually when his pediatrician gives the go ahead on solids. He also shows great interest when he is around anyone eating. I know to start off with single grain cereal (rice) and to try that for a few days until moving on. I know what to watch for allergy wise. I'm just confused about when to introduce things like fruits and vegetables. I do plan on asking his pediatrician about all this, but I would like to here about personal experiences.

i'm really worried that i might be pregnant. i looked up all of the symptoms and i have a few of them such as:
-i feel nauseas at random times in the day
-i have severe pain in my stomach for about 1 minute maybe 4 times a day
-i laid in bed all day today because i have a fever of 101
-i've been feeling like crap lately
-the area around my nipple is redder than usual
-my period is a little late. like... 5-6 days

if i am pregnant, i have no clue about how i got there. i've never had sexual intercourse or anything. oh yeah, and i haven't taken a pregnancy test yet.

anyone think they can help?

p.s. i dunno, i might just be like.. paranoid.

I don't really understand why some people do that... They think because of their youth, they don't know what's going on.. For example, I saw my favorite rapper, Chamillionaire, on the Larry King Show... In total, he probably talked about 15 minutes.. if that much... Everyone I'm surrounded by treats younger people like they were just born yesterday and don't know what's going on in the world..

For example, I'm the smartest person in the 8th Grade.. Made one of the highest TAKS scores in the SCHOOL! But a lot of times I make grammar mistakes, but you know what I'm saying. But there is always someone who tries to point that out saying, "Your school must not be too bright. You have the worst grammar in the history of world.." But you know what I'm trying to say.. I'm 13! I'm on the computer! I could try to talk like this: grl, u've suld be thrr. (Translation: Girl, you've should have been there.) What's your opinion on that?
