Unfortunately, many people are insensitive and often do not know what they are talking about. 34 is young. There is no reason why you can not have another baby. It is true that once a women is 35 or older that the rate of miscarriage increases and that it may take longer to conceive. But this does not mean that you can't have a healthy baby. It just means you have to be more patient.
I am terribly sorry for your loss and also very sorry that you have to endure hurtful comments from others. I wish you the best of luck.

When in the world did 34 get to be too old, are you kidding me? Lot's of women are waiting until their 30's to even start and a good amount of women are waiting until their late 30's early 40's....age in all relative. If you are healthy and have good hormones then you should give it a try. There is never a guarantee of success at any age, many of the supposed young and fertile have difficulties.
I'm sorry you had a miscarriage, that can't be easy but with two successful pregnancies behind you, if you and your partner feel the urge to try for another, I bet you can do it.
Good luck..baby dust to you!!

I'm so sorry about your miscarriage. While it's true that fertility declines with age, 34 is not over the hill.
I'm 37 and got pregnant easily. I haven't received any negative comments, just congratulations.
Some women your age struggle with infertility, but most have never had a child. The fact that you have 2 is a very good sign.
I highly recommend a board on "the nest" called "TTC over 35." The women are very supportive.

My mother had my youngest brother at 36 and my partners mother had her in her early forties. So at 34 you are still young enough to have a child, but this child will be like an only child with the other 2 so much older my partner's siblings were 8 and 9 when she was born and she has never felt close to them and my brothers are 11 and 13 years younger than me and I don't feel we have anything in common either.

34 too old, are you kidding me? Your male friend could use some manners.
Women are having babies at 50 these days. It's a personal decision. If you feel 34 is too old for you to start over again, that's your choice... but don't let someone ELSE tell you that.
You and your husband should do whatever your hearts are telling you to do.
Good luck.

I am 25 & feel like you should follow your heart! If you desire another child I would go for it. I don't know why people are so rude to say that you are too old. Many people are having babies into their 40's now. Your 8 & 9 year old are the perfect age to be your "big helpers." I wish you the best!!!

Yes you can definitely conceive. My mom got pregnant at 39 and had a miscarriage, but soon after she fell pregnant again and had my brother at 40 years old. Two years later she got pregnant with me at 42 years old. We are both very healthy and she had no complications during pregnancy. Hope this helps! I wish you luck!!!

I think that your age is fine to be TTC. I am 30 and trying for my 2nd. My mother had me at 40 and my sister just had her fourth child at 35. If you feel good enough to have another child than go for it.
Good luck to you!

Oh, gosh no! I was 39 when my daughter was born. Lots of women have babies into their 40's. The 'friend' who thinks you're too old is ignorant.
