My first girl smiled in the recovery room, but didn't smile again for 6 weeks.
My son didn't smile until about 9 weeks.

I think my daughter was about 3-4 months when she started laughing at peekaboo.

My son was more like 5-6 mo. when he was swinging and daddy put his bare feet in Dad's hair as he swung by, and daddy popped up and said, "boo!"

My son started smiling within the first month. He didn't laugh until between month 2 and 3. Now at 4 months he laughs at anything he finds amusing and when tickled.

My son was smiling socially (in response to a smile or noise) at 5 weeks and his first laugh was around 9 or 10 weeks in response to being tickled.

He is now 4 months and laughs when you make funny noises, faces or tickle him.
