Yes you can! It may be a little harder getting started but so worth it. I had a preemie that was in NICU for 8days, I didn't pump even thought they told me to because I didn't want to get all engorged waiting for the baby to be able to nurse. I told them I wanted her to go right from the tube feeding to the breast, but they ignored me and gave her bottles! GRRR! Anyway, soon as I could I started nursing her, and did for the next three yrs!
I know an Amish mom who's preemie was in NICU for 20 days before she could bring him home, even then, he couldn't nurse Or even take bottle, she had to pump and mix the milk with cereal and slowly spoon feed him or he would choke and aspirate. She gradually reduced the amt of cereal in the milk until it was pure breastmilk. He nursed from her for the first time at 3 months! and continued for at least a yr. or two.

Yes, but talk to a lactation consultant. Why didn't you pump while your baby was in the NICU? My son was born at 29 weeks and on a feeding tube up until 2 weeks after he came home and I started pumping the day after he was born. The milk was frozen for the first week until the nurses were sure he was ready for it.
Edit: Nurses in the NICU don't have a problem with giving the babies breastmilk. They actually encourage it. My son was so early that they did have to mix the breastmilk with formula and MCT Oil to help him gain weight faster.

yes just keep trying and your milk will come in. If the baby is in the nicu still start pumping and insist that they give him your milk as well as formula they won't like it but you are the mother

Do you have any milk? If so it is important to start pumping or putting baby to breast asap. If you have no milk, it is most likely dried up and may be impossible to get it back. Nursing and pumping might bring it back, but chances are slim.
