Yes. I had 4 jobs: Mom, Santa, Easter Bunny & Tooth Fairy. I remember when they had playdates and would tell me that boys were stupid and gross. Going to the toy store to pick out a new barbie or doll was the highlight of the day and our basement was called the playroom. Little girls use to call my house the day after school got out to ask my daughters what group they were in for camp and the week before school to see who their teacher was for school. I bought their clothes and did their hair. Homework involved coloring and cutting, my house was quiet by 9pm. There were sippy cups in the kitchen, Disney videos in the wall unit and only 2 cars in the driveway. I could go on and on.
Now when we hear a buzzing noise, all my daughters check their pockets to see if it's their phone ringing. 90% of the time, it's a boy on the other end. School discussions involve college applications and responses. Shopping is a event with friends. They of course now dress themselves, do their own hair and all have perfect, wonderful smiles. The sippy cups are gone, the wall unit is packed with romantic and comedy DVDs and 3 Hondas have joined the family.
Theres a picture of them that was taken 10yrs ago when we went on vacation. They're all in jeaned skirts, white t-shirts, have sunglasses on and their arms rapped around each other. The wind is blowing their hair and they're all smiling right at me with their toothless smiles.
My daughters are now 21, 19, 18, 15 & 12. Seems like just yesterday they were all babies.

All the time, especially with my son. He'll be 16 in a couple of months and over the last year his face has changed drastically, he's grown 5 inches (now 5'9), toned up, shaving, deep voice. He's not a little boy anymore. A family friend who we haven't seen in almost 2 yrs got out Christmas card and wrote me back and e-mail, explaining how she couldn't believe that the "man" in the picture was my son.
With my daughters, who just turned 18 and almost 13, their faces change over the years and their attitudes. My younger one is starting her teenage stage, while my oldest is really starting to take control of her life and get ready for the future (college).
They grow up way too quickly.
Best wishes

Oh YES!
My son is 8 1/2, daughter just turned 5 1/2. Where DID the time go? I was looking at their school pics the other day and want to cry sometimes, LOL. They're growing way too quickly for me.
*sigh*...
Happy belated b-day to your son, by the way. :)

I had my first baby 10 weeks ago and she is already growing too fast. I keep saying what happened to the baby that just ate, slept, and stared at me all day. Now she looks everywhere and wants to reach for anything close enough for her to try to grab. She's about a pound away from doubling her birth weight. I always feel like there isn't enough time in the day to keep up with the house and still not miss something with her. I know if I'm feeling like this now that it will only get worse!!!

I know how you feel. My daughter is 2 and 1/2 and she is talking and playing on a soccer team, playing dress up, and carrying her baby dolls around saying that she is taking care of her baby sister. I am 6 months along with twins and I don't know the babies are girls, boys, or a mixture, but she always is carrying around her "baby sister". It seems like yesterday I was telling my husband we were going to have our first baby, then I blinked and she is in her terrible 2's. Have anything to keep my eyes open? If I blink again, she will be going off to college!

All the time - just wait. My eldest son is 16, and when I look at him, I can still see that little four year old in him! Time flies all too quickly!

I've told my children over and over to quit growing up so fast. I'd jam the top of their heads (as if to reverse the tall growing). They smile, but my daughter graduated college this week.
