I have had one ultra sound at 5 weeks, and my baby looked like a round egg.

I will be going to the doctors this week and I will almost be 10 weeks pregnant by then.

What should I expect? Every website I go to about fetus's or ultra sounds seems to be changing the pics to farther along, because they are trying to convince women to not have abortions.

When will my ultra sounds start to look like a baby?

Does anyone have any of there ultra sound pictures from 9-10 weeks?

My 18 month old is very curious and wont stop getting into everything! We have baby proofed our drawers, toilets and outlets but I can't find anything online for floor vents! She keeps pulling them out of the floor! We also need some suggestions as far as high chairs (she can get her tray off and wiggle out of her tight as can be seatbelt) and shoppingcarts which she is now climbing out of as of yesterday and we aren't sure if she is too young for her toddler bed (her crib converts) Our first child never did any of this, so we are challenged! Please help, I don't want my baby safe!

I see so many questions on here asking about how to deal with "backchatting" and so on and all sorts of complicated answers being given.I've noticed the same with many modern day parents "negotiating" with their children over the most trivial of issues.
In my day children did as they were told or else and they were better for it - they may not have liked it all of the time but they had security and then could do as they pleased (within reason!) once *adult*.
So why do so many modern day parents think that they have to treat their children as "equals" rather than giving them (the children) the assurance that someone (the parent) is in control whilst they (the children)develop their own self-confidence in their *own* time and at their own pace within *boundaries*?
I'm getting pretty sick and tired of the manipulative ways my eldest grandson is showing and if it wasn't for the fact that when he is here he jolly well knows that "No" means "NO" and no questions asked I'd fear for him

I am not thrilled with the name Clyde, but it is important to my husband. I am trying to find a way to have it in the baby's name, even though I hate it!!! But I am having a hard time coming up with something that I like. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. BTW - Clyde is by no means going to be the first name...

he used to get himself to sleep and we could put him in his cot and he'd get himslef to sleep no problem. The last 4 nights as soon as we take him upstairs and put him in his cot he screams and screams, its so awful to hear him, I have let him cry it out today and let him scream for an hour and a half and he has now gone to sleep, i don't know if this is harming him tho. Has anyone else had this problem with children of the same age. We want to put him in a bed soon but he would never go to sleep then if he can get out of bed. Any advice to help us please.x

Do you leave the stocking at the fireplace downstairs or put it at the bottom of the bed?
Do you leave the main/big presents downstairs or put everythig in a pillowcase or santa sack at the bottom of the bed?

There will be only 8 children, including my 2 sons. We don't have a large budget as his birthday is so close to Christmas. He doesn't seem to have any really big interests. Just the usual video games and such...I really need help!

I was trying to figure out about how much parents spend on there infants during their first christmas. I am currently out of work and a single parent so I dont have much to spend. But, I was wondering what the average for someone that young is. She has plenty of clothes so I'de be buying her toys and dvds. She love's the baby einstein toys I got her their set of 24 dvds on ebey for about 50 bucks and a jumper for around 90. Plus some small little gifts like teethers and light up toys. All in all I probably spent 350 (which has mostly been charged). But, do yall think that is about right?

17 month year old is having a really tough time understanding the concept of please and thank you. He knows "more" and is constantly demanding things...so unbecoming! He has said please before (and knows other "p" words like "plane") but absolutely refuses to say it...any kids books we could read together that would be helpful??

My husband was married before with a 9 yr old son who we have 50% of the time and alternating holidays. This is our yr to have his son for x-mas. Because of this my husband wants to spend x-mas with his family. His family is local and both my hus and his son see them weekly. My family is out of state and we only see then 2-3 times a yr. My husband told me the yrs he has his son for x-mas he does not want to spend with my family but his. On the yrs he does not have his son we can spend with my family. I guess i just feel hurt he would not want his son with him to spend x-mas with my family(who loves his son) who lives far away and don't get to see us much. Please tell me an I over reacting? Is the "deal" he want to do fair?
