yes, i have 3 boys(8, 3, and 8 months) and my husband was always great at doing those things and not many guys are like that anymore. especially in my age group (25) so its very important to me that my boys understand that you open doors for women and other lil things my hunny does that i love like carry in all the groceries too. it can get hard since they dont always seem to remember how it should go but hopefully it sinks in eventually. i am 11 weeks preg with our last baby and i really hope its a girl. then they willl get even more practice on how a woman should be treated (or spoiled lol)

I constantly relish it while a guy opens the door for me- I dont want him to do it although that's constantly so friendly to locate a guy with manners. If somebody has their palms finished no remember the gender that's advantageous to open the door for them - I even have opened the door for women and men human beings till now. That stated - no it is going to possibly not constantly prepare. not for monopoly or getting cups for beverages or for any of the standard stuff like that. No women shouldn't constantly bypass first - this is actual unfair or maybe years and years in the past dad and mom did not try this. a guy shouldn't constantly ought to stand up while a woman enters the room the two. If he has in no way met her he ought to stand to assert hi and shake palms yet not if he already knows her. It gets kinda stupid while there's a huge team and men are up and down each and every of the time. the single "rule" I do carry on with with my young ones and grandkids is this one: No guy ought to ever hit a woman. If a boys sisters are bothering him to the factor the place he appears like hitting them the dad and mom ought to intervene and stop them from bothering him.

my son is a baby yet, but yes when hes old enough i will teach him to open doors and hold chairs etc for women. Courtesy and manners are severely lacking in today's world! My husband opens doors for me and holds my chair. Our son will do the same.

Yes, my three - year - old son already does. I teach him to hold the door for everyone, but I think he's picking up on especially helping women and the elderly from my husband. I must say, my husband is a true gentleman and is teaching our son well. A few weeks ago, an older woman was reaching for a loaf of bread on the top shelf in the grocery store. My son (who couldn't have reached the bread if he tried), said, "Ma'am, you need some help?" Daddy must really be setting a good example for him.

are you guys from the south or something? ;-) i teach my kids (boys and girls) to hold doors for the person who's coming behind them, male or female. i likewise would hold a door for someone of either gender. i think it's silly for men just to do it for women and i wouldn't teach my son that. but i'm from the northeast....

I will teach my son too, but also some women don't like having that happen so they'll need to respect that.
